  1. Aston sorted out a problem with our bedroom light, hung some pictures, sorted some wobbly doors on the hallway cupboard and fixed a broken shower handle all in about half a day. Very simple, very easy and all done to a high standard. Would highly recommend his services.
  2. Yep - I 100% concur with all of the above. Work was great, he was pleasant, on time and reasonably riced. I will use him again.
  3. Hi - has anyone else had any contaminated diesel from the Shell Garage on Croxted Road recently?
  4. Had lunch there today. I had an omlette and chips and my partner had the full english. I was impressed. Will definitely go back.
  5. We have three boys - aged 6, 4 and 6 months - and having a 3rd was the best decision we've ever made. Yes, it is more work but not that much. Yes, it is more financially challenging but you will find a way. The dynamic between the three brothers is lovely and our family life has an added dimension. You will undoubtedly be happy with two but you will be just as happy - but in a different way - with three. I don't know the ages of your two but I doubt you will need more help if you do not work and they are currently at school. Go for it!
  6. eng 44 - 10 ita (sole azzuri try scored in the dying minutes) fra 17 - 19 ire (ire to build up decent lead with les bleu fight back starting 60 mins in when michalek is hauled off and replaced by trinh duc) sco 14 - 14 wal (rain is a great leveller at M'field and the two sets of forward lolloping around in the mud will result in a stalemate)
  7. Hi We paid our au pair ?100 per week for 38hrs per week incl. 2 hrs on a Saturday and 3 night babysitting a week. In addition we contributed ?50 per month toward her Oyster Card and ?20 per month for her mobile bill. We also put her on our membership for JAGS.
  8. Saying Harris is a business is like saying your Local Authority is a business. They don't make money to spend in schools. Their schools are state funded with the academies having control over their own budgets. That is the point of academies. It is interesting the amount of misinformation there is about academies out there.
  9. As an academy chain, Harris don't have to stick to the national curriculum but their stated policy is that they do. Clearly they are able change their policy. I work for an organisation of similar scope and scale to Harris and know that it would take a good two years to fully implement a change of that magnitude. Also the idea that Harris controls education in Southwark is a myth. ARK Schools has Walworth, Globe and the soon to be open All Saints in Camberwell. Charter and Kingsdale are not part of an academies chain. Goodrich, Heber and St Anthony's are the same. In my viewe the arrival of academies in Southwark has forced all the schools to up their game becuase of the great results the academies have achieved.
  10. Harris isn't a business ... it is an acadmey chain i.e. not-for-profit. Also they teach the national curriculum so it is unlikely they teach "... creationism alongside evolution". Their schools are doing really well across London and the fully comply with Southwark's admissions code. http://www.harrisfederation.org.uk/118/academy-profiles
  11. What about a decent Chinese? Unless someone can recommend on?
  12. My pick for the 6 Nations is England ... maybe even the Slam. In players like Tom Wood and Dan Coles, they have genuine world class performers. The back 3 are lethal and provided they play the right type of game then the midfield partnership can be very effective - Barritt and Tuilagi are big, mean, fast and ugly so using them as ball carriers and allowing the creativity to come from the back 3 can work. I also think the Lancaster / Robshaw axis is beginning to gel. I am South African so saying this pains me greatly but I also fancy them for RWC 2015.
  13. An excellent idea ... I'd be a regular patron!
