  1. I live on Marmora Road and like many others would really appreciate the extension of the route of the No 63 bus to actually go to Honor Oak, so I can get to the train station more easily and take advantage of the new train line, after all it does have Honor Oak on the front of the bus! I know this has been raised before and I signed a petition for this to go ahead, so what happened, does anyone Know?
  2. Are all these bins really necesarry? I really dislike them, they are always left on the pavements and look a real mess, even if people have space allocated for them they rarely put them back, also I thought we were trying to use less plastics, so what will happen to the boxes now?........all that plastic! What was wrong with the old metal bins?, whilst I am having a rant, I also dislike upv windows and doors, they are so ugly......more plastic!!!!!! how will we dispose of all this plastic? please, please, please use wood
  3. OOOOps.........wear condoms Evie
  4. My point was that if something constructive is not done to control them then culling them will be the consequence, I do not want them killed, I was hoping there was some preventative measure like contraception, now I am not suggesting they were condoms either!!!! Evie
  5. Forgot to mention their screaming, they make so much noise, they wake me up too. I don't leave food around and do not feed them, I suppose in areas where there are lots of people there is bound to be access to food, surely there should be something more structured in place, some government plan, or is it like most things today, reacting too late to a problem that is obviously going to happen. Why is contraception so expensive? I am sure they will have to start culling them soon.
  6. There are so many foxes now in the Marmora Road area I think it is becoming a problem. I regularly have 4 in my back garden and see quite a few hanging around on the streets. They are becoming less timid and obviously more used to humans. I can no longer go into my garden without treading in their poo and the back bushy area where they must live is really stinky and don't they carry disease? There poo is also on the pavements. I am an animal lover and wish them no harm and love to watch them, but can something be done before there are so many that we have to start shooting them, is there a contraceptive they can be given? Are they being monitored? Is there any plan for our friend the urban fox? Evie
  7. It's grim up North alright was up there this weekend, it was wet, grey and cold, that's annoying, but that's why the countyside is so much greener and more beautiful. Had a delicious lunch in the country, there are some top restaurants, had an excellent evening in Manchester in the bars in the Northern quarter, as good as anywhere in London. Went to an excellent family party in the most beautiful house up the Lakes, met folks from all classes and had a reet laff. I'm Northern and proud of it.
  8. I really hate it when the likes of Gok Wan says 'ON TREND' or 'BANG ON TREND' or worse still shortens it to 'BANG ON', we used to say trendy, what is wrong with trendy?
  9. anything a little strange or different or surprising is RANDOM....... it's annoying....Randombloke IT ROCKS.....hate that especially when said in pseudo American accent. 110 per cent, 120 per cent or even 250 percent, is it just me or can you not have more than 100 percent? AT THE END OF THE DAY.............we all go to bed?
  10. of course they do silly, but how would they have got over my garden wall and poopin the middle of my garden if they were on a lead?
  11. there are a few possible suspects, 2 jack russels, 2 black labradors, 1 weimeraner, 1 red setter, 1 staffy or another staffy, I am a dog person, I love dogs, it's their owner's fault, I suspect public enemy no 1 is one of the staffy's, not because I am stereotyping, but because they are often not on the lead, the labradors are often not on the lead but they tend to take another route.
  12. I live near and go to the Co op at Forest Hill, I believe in their ethics but sooooo disappointed in their shop, the aisles are so narrow that 2 people are unable to walk down them, the fridges often aren't working, I complained about this on more than 1 occasion but the fridges still weren't working the next time I went in. The shelves are often empty especially after the weekend when it's difficult to buy the most basic stuff. They rarely get free range chicken in which is the only kind I will buy or fresh cream, it's usually that awful long life stuff and the fruit and veg also usually looks past it's best. They just don't seem to do stock control.
  13. There is a continuous dog poo problem on Marmora Road, if you have a dog you should bloody well clean it up. One day there was poo in my front garden, the owner must have been aware what their dog was doing, maybe keep your dog on a lead too
