Hi Well I caved in and we had the Foxtons Estate Agent round our house to value it. What a mare! Typical smoothy, all talk no brain. Undervalued our house by ?40,000 and dropped several clangers - told me he sells houses without even needing to see them, that one of their selling techniques is to get as many people in a 45 minute slot to view a property as it drives up the competition and that he thinks that smaller agents in East Dulwich will definately go under as Foxtons plan to corner the market! I know that estate agents are a specific breed but we've had three other agents over to value our property and all of them where much better and a lot less pushy than Foxtons. Whilst I would love to take their no fee offer I just feel that it wouldn't be worth the stress of having to deal with a Foxtonite and I don't want to contribute to the begining of making Lordship Lane another bland middle-class high street - what next - All Bar One and a Strada! Will definaltely start looking elsewhere.
