  3. Hello! We need a few things sorting in our flat before we rent it out. If you can recommend anyone or could take the job, please get in touch! Thanks in advance for any help. We need: - Servicing and certificates for boiler and gas fire - toilet to be fixed. It's constantly filling. - might be some other things that occur to us, closer to the time.... Cheers! Sally - Muschamp Road, SE15
  4. I'd be up for doing that - have to put some of my own stuff on, so had earmarked Friday to do it all. Any good to you? Sally
  5. Hello! I'd welcome any recommendations for someone to fix a dishwasher, but not charge the earth. (Am 'between jobs' so need to stick to a budget) I know what the problem is with the appliance, just don't have the skills to fix it myself... http://www.fixya.com/support/t9275243-code_c8_showing_our
  6. Did you know you can use the gym for free on Fridays and after 2pm Saturday and Sunday? https://www.everyoneactive.com/southwarkfreeswimandgym/
  7. Have done the general one. Not yarn. Good luck!
  8. Looking for a few local families willing to try out a business idea we're testing... Put simply, we'll deliver a home-cooked meal every night for a week, and ask only for you to contribute towards the cost of the ingredients and tell us what you think. (Of the food, of the service, how much you'd be willing to pay for such a service if we did go for it etc.) Let me know (via private message) if interested. Looking for volunteers w/c 26th October and 3rd October. Cheers
  9. Hello! Don't know if it's rude to ask, but how much should I expect to pay for a socket being fitted outside? Would appreciate any advice! Cheers
  10. Hi Patricia, We currently use a cleaning company and a separate dog walker. It hadn't occurred to me that someone might be willing to come and do some housekeeping, and let the dog out at the same time! (he only needs to go into the garden, rather than be taken for a walk, as he's old and is awaiting a hip operation). Would you be available to do once a week from January? We're flexible on which day you do - we can just give you a set of spare keys so you can do it when it suits you? Best, Sally
  11. Sounds good! For me, it would have to be an evening and preferably Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. After that, the week is more about wine than working out.....
  12. Anyone have a recommendation on where to get a Christmas tree nearby? Apart from not wanting to be fleeced, I worry when it's out the back of a pub car park or similar that the trees 'fell out the back of a van', if you catch my drift. All advice very welcome! Cheers, Sally

  15. Hi Cora - have applied for Dulwich Helpline. That was the sort of thing I was after - befriending someone who lives alone. Thanks again for your help!
  16. Hi all, Just wondered if anyone runs or knows of doggy day care quite close to Peckham Rye station? Have been googling, but nearest I can find is Sydenham. This is for the occasional day I may need to leave the pooch when I have meetings, and would rather he's with other dogs. Any suggestions very gratefully received!
  17. Just wondered if anyone knows of any local schemes looking for volunteers at the moment? Any tips very gratefully received.
  18. Trying to get in touch with Pat, but that number seems to be missing one digit. Don't suppose you could re-post...?
  19. We've just had a lovely new carpet, and cannot recommend enough someone we found on East Dulwich forum Jim Cox is a local fitter who previously worked at Lordship Lane carpets but has since gone independent. He made the whole thing so easy for us - coming round at a convenient time on a Saturday morning, then dropping some samples through the post box to us, and even fitting the carpet while we were at work so we didn't have to take any time off. On top of that, he's completely charming and lovely to deal with - which is always a bonus! Jim Cox - 07901 834901 - [email protected]
  20. Hi Are you restricted on numbers, or can anyone come along? Me and my brother fancy trying it out tonight. Is there room?
