  1. Thank you James. Hopefully we will see that 20mph really soon. :)
  2. In response to CitizenED I don't know the correct answer to your question but I will endeavour to find out for you. But to reassure you no public money would have been used for this. Social projects and things like that are kept totally separately.
  3. Both my 2 boys go to school at Goose Green Primary. On the way to school we have to cross the Grove Vale Road at the Traffic Lights. The traffic on this road goes extremely fast as well as the buses!!! I have been amazed at the amount of times cars have jumped the red lights just as we as a family are about to cross! A number of times my 5 year old boy has almost been hit simply because he has waited for the green man (which has 2 second delay after the red light) stepped out and a car has ploughed on through the red light. I have had numerous arguements with buses who had not slowed down or look as if they are not slowing and then the light flashes and they carry on through without giving us time to cross. Is it possible to either raise a ramp on the crossing, put a school crossing sign up or a speed limit along there. I fear that one day someone might just get hit and I pray that it is NOT any member of my family! Thank you.
  4. I work for The Salvation Army and can confirm that it is still The William Booth College of Training for Salvation Army Officers. It has over the years suffered immense subsidence and the inside has been in a bad state of repair. But because of the presevation order on it the updates and the finance for such a project has been on hold for many years. The project is due to be finished early 2012. Inside the college will be bought upto the 21st Century inside unlike its Victorian and rundown appearence inside. The accommodation is also being bought upto scratch. The building is not being sold or being made into private flats as was rumoured or feared. Any further questions I will do my best to answer them for you. Thanks
  5. Came to our house too and tried to be quite persuasive. Said that some flats were having theirs done. We said that we didn't have any cash in the house and he said he would take whatever we had. He asked if he could step in while he waited. Be very careful, he is very charming but forceful in his speech and does not want to take no for an answer!
