  1. It's got to do with diversion as mentioned above. Been going on for a while. 484 at the moment is not much better.
  2. There's a dry cleaners, who do alterations as well, a couple of doors up from the ED Tavern. I use them and never had a problem with them. Nice people.
  3. Not sure where to show this as it is not a for sale item. Are there charity shops that would pick it up. Any other way I could get rid of it? Council? There is life in it yet but not for sleeping as it is uncomfortable for certainly more than a night, so would be free to anyone that wanted it. Not letting it go just yet until new one is delivered.
  4. I don't think there is anything French about the French Caf?, except the name.
  5. It does ?7.50 a jar, but nice honey.
  6. Hope it is the Real McCoy and not pseudo French.
  7. Just before Christmas, one rather large rat ran from the street into the Co-op shop on Lordship Lane.
  8. You mean there are people who actually read the Daily Mail? Jeez.
  9. There was a lot of build up to the storm, but this area seems to have done not too badly and the wind was nothing to write home about. Other areas, South West etc are not so well off.
  10. I have quite a few in my flat every year. Thought they came from terrace. I gently put them outside if I can get to them, but most are on ceiling. They disappear eventually, though found two on my pillow last year. Olbas Oil is obtainable from Holland & Barrett and most good health shops so not difficult to find at any time of the year.
  11. Happens all over the place, including France.
  12. I asked in Sainsburys Locale last year when it cost me a good bit more in the shop near to Dulwich Library for a bottle of Prosecco. They are classified as "convenience" stores (as are Tesco Express) due to their opening times and the Managers are at liberty to increase the prices of products.
  13. Posted by pinecone Yesterday, 10:30PM lots of daily mail readers on the EDF, louisa Just what I was thinking just now when reading the comments. Can't get any worse than that.
  14. They were outside the pub at Goose Green this morning around 9am.
  15. ADS is a very reliable company. I used it last September to Gatwick for an early flight. Cost ?40. Well worth it.
  16. "It frustrates me that 24 hours later the fox still hasn't been caught and transported to a vet (either to be treated or humanely put to sleep), in spite of the Parks Manager being made aware (not to be confused with the park warden, whom I know well). And to hear that a dog had since attacked it too is just unbearable. I just wish I'd seen this thread when it appeared. I would happily have gone and taken it to a rescue/ charity centre (no matter how far away). But given how populated that park is, it also dismays me that no-one else took matters into their own hands. I hope Mr Williams finally gets some respite for the poor thing." Doesn't dismay me at all that no one else attended to the fox. Humanity today can hardly lift a finger to help another human being, never mind an animal.
  17. I passed by yesterday afternoon as by chance I saw something was going on in Goose Green. I thought it really enjoyable and was impressed by the community turn out. Too bad there are people like Uncle Ben around. Perhaps he should go back to his paddy fields where he belongs.
  18. Where is Roksana based and what are her fees
  19. There was also a stabbing outside of Tescos Express on East Dulwich Road around 8pm last week. Two guys arguing and one stabbed the other. Not life threatening but just the same.
  20. Well, for London and areas, it is snowing. Icing sugar coating really.
  21. Waitrose is fine if you have a budget that can afford it. It has very good quality products but expensive. I used them a couple of times for online shopping delivery as I received vouchers off but even with a reduction, they are still more than my normal supermarket online delivery shopping. Waitrose and M&S are similar. Good products but expensive.
  22. To be frank, I just can't understand why anybody would not welcome the introduction of M&S into Lordship Lane. The demographic of the area is changing no end and I think the reality is that most people would welcome the quality that M&S offers. Fingers crossed that the application is accepted! I find this quite snobbish. Are you saying that all in East Dulwich are well heeled and upmarket. Reality check - Not everyone can afford M&S.
