  1. Hi Mums & Dads, **Seeking a role that is after school and full time in the holidays** I am a British career nanny and maternity nanny (16 years) with a passion of working with children, I adapt a Montessori approach to my style of nannying. I have diplomas and degrees in many areas of Early years such as Child Psychology, Speech & Language and Maternity Nursing & many more including first aid. Previous employers have described me as reliable and a natural with children. I have recently qualified as a LEGO play therapist to help children with additional needs. My work style is MONTESSORI and routine based, I feel these two mixed together make children confident in who they are yet have boundaries. I have excellent knowledge of SE London. I pride myself on my own personal development and always keep up to date with courses and government guidelines, I feel with my knowledge, experience and qualifications I am well equipped to play an important role in your childs life; whilst always having their best interests at heart. I am adaptable in my work surroundings and very confident having sole charge. I also have experience of working in a formal household. If you are interested in speaking further, please send details of your requirements and a little bit about your family.
  2. COPIED from Facebook. Mamas, I just had the shocking experience of being mugged outside my house on Adys Road by hooded teenager. I am FINE and thank goodness the baby was not with me but my phone was stolen out of my hand so watch out. I know these things happen... but I am SO PISSED. Black kid, around 17, black Nike hoodie and jeans with short hair. Last seen around Rye Lane where I chased him to. Not advocating any vigilante style action but if you see a kid matching that description with an iphone with a blond baby in a bathtub on the homescreen it's almost certainly mine!😠😠😠
  3. What?s the best Indian restaurant on the lane? Sunday buffet?
  4. Recommendation for pest control - To say I was sceptical was an understatement due to hardly any reviews for Superproof. How wrong was I! They have just completely mouse proofed my one bedroom flat. Which took 9 hours!! They go round every room with a fine tooth pick. Filling all gaps and holes. I have a mice phobia and was planning on moving house after seeing 4 mice in the space of 2 days. It's now been a week and absolutely no sign of the little pests. Best money spent in a long time. More expensive than your average pest control but you can't compare the two as they are completely different. One lays traps and focuses on poison etc etc which I wasn't really keen on as I have a dog and didn't want anything like that around. Also traps work to a certain extent but why use traps forever which in the long term would cost you more than one off superproof payment, when you can just stop all entry points? Can't recommend them highly enough. As I said I have a phobia and was paranoid so they arranged for another member of the team to check the areas and reassure me that all entry points have been filled. I can now rest well and know I won't be seeing them again! And if I do you have a 1 year guarantee so superproof would come back at no extra cost. That's how sure they are about their service.
  5. Recommendation: Pam Mulvaney +44 7939 023135 she has helped me so much with my two dogs who are protective of me, do not have good recall skills or come back when they are ready too! I can't recommend her highly enough. She has given me confidence and changed the way the dogs behave in such a short period of time ( yes I'm aware it needs to be followed and too quick to say it's everlasting) but as Pam says "she helps control behaviour not Cure it" unlike many people calling themselves trainers claim to be able to do. I have spent close to thousands on having trainers come and help me with my dogs issues and all I was told was "I will have to give my dog up if I want to start a family" ... "They are beyond help" or just spend the hour throwing treats at them! All of which made me feel like I'd done the worst possible job ever ... I now feel confident that I can and have the tools to walk my dogs on the common at a busy time and not at 6am on a Saturday to avoid runners, dogs and cyclists. I should also add that in 4 hours only 2 treats were used. Which works well as I often forget things so having a dog who listens and is praised by my tone of voice is perfect for me! Wish I found Pam before my confidence was trodden in to the ground so I really would like to spread the word should anyone else be needing a trainer who knows what she is teaching.
  6. This lady is absolutely amazing. She is one of the only people I trust with my puppy. She covers a wide range of training and helps with any problems you are having with your pooch. http://perfectdog.co.uk
  7. Please get in touch. Willing to pay ?40 for the 2 hours.
  8. This is dreadful, I have a dog who I love dearly and I completely understand how hard it is finding the right person, who you can trust. I met a fair few walkers when I first moved to the area. I was lucky enough to meet someone amazing who genuinely loved dogs and would always go above and beyond for my little guy. Makes me feel so sick reading this post, such a long day for them to be stuck inside. I'm almost certain my old neighbour used him and then moved to my Walker as she had same concerns. What was his response? Do pm me if you would like her details. Cuddles to you and pooch.
  9. Thanks for all the replies, Joy on the market had some lovely Falafel and Roasted Aubergine ..think I'll buy in bulk!

Startling even. ;-) Your point is...? I never thought to search for previous posts..but thanks for the tip and all :)
