  1. Please be aware that Upland Road is currently closed between Goodrich School and no 283 due to emergency sewer repairs. Likely to be closed for up to one month.
  2. You can still get the 12 bus. After the diversion it will stop outside the aylsham centre and then turn left towards Camberwell.
  3. Interesting to read tfl's comments as a temporary stop has now been erected on the southwards diversion on Consort Road, but not going northwards on Copeland road.
  4. One consequence of the unavoidable closure of Rye Lane is that more people will use the already overcrowded Denmark Hill station instead.
  5. As far as I know, from 8am today the buses will go down Clayton Road and then Hanover Park so we will either have to get off at the start of Rye Lane and walk down or get off outside the Aylsham centre and walk back. Returning home will be more difficult as Hanover Park is one way, so we will either have to walk to Peckham Road or to the top of Rye Lane They haven't said if there are any temporary stop along the diversion For some people it might be easier to use a different station as it lasts for over a year. Good luck.
  6. There is another post by Angiectz who has lost a wallet containing a bank card, two zip cards and a key. Could this be the one you found?
  7. There was a report on the TV local news earlier this evening.
  8. Drivers of fleet vans are usually required to fill in a log book detailing mileage at start and end of shift and any damage on takeover. This is so the company knows who was driving the vehicle in the event of accident or a driving offence. Assuming this procedure was being done correctly the company will know who was driving their vehicles at the time in question.
  9. Paddy Ashdown, former liberal democrat leader.
  10. The op said it was on Henslowe Road.
  11. Work has now started on this house. So far the window has been removed, the front wall is being rebuilt and the bay is being repaired.
  12. This has happened at other local fairs in the past. The perpetrators know that volunteer stallholders may not be experienced at handling cash so it is relatively easy for them to pass off dud notes as genuine. It's a good idea having a central bank run by an astute cash handler though.
  13. Thank you SebsC for your informative and considered post. It did seem strange to see a large modern van with 4 flat tyres, which is why I started this thread. You seem to know the owner so I do hope he is able to get his van back in service without further hassle.
