  1. Hi, our website is Wordpress based and I do not have enough time to update it. Does anyone have Wordpress experience out there who would like some part time work? Hours and location can be totally flexible depending on experience. You wont need oodles of experience but intermediate level I think is necessary. We have a pretty basic website but it does have some coding in it. Thanks, Richard. www.balfesbikes.co.uk
  2. Hi folks, my bicycle shop is sitting on lots of fiddly little bits of stock (and some bikes) which I would like to put on ebay. I am happy to package and post but I require someone who can list the items on our shop ebay account. There are lots of things so the process will require attention to detail, organisation and a touch of efficiency. It would probably be best to do it at the bike shop too where the stock is. I guess it would suit anyone who feel they might be suited to it, so if you are that person then please PM me. Immediate start required. We probably have about 3-4 days of work. If you are proficient in Wordpress we have more work available too. Thanks, Richard.
  3. I highly recommend Lee. He helped me lose 19lbs last year and I thoroughly enjoyed all my sessions. I?m not given naturally to prancing around a gym but Lee never made me feel awkward or self conscious at all. I really recommend him, and actually the gym too which is clean and well equipped. Lee got me to a level that I felt I could apply to run in the London Marathon. Amazingly I got a place and am training for it. I would never have contemplated it if I hadn?t had the training from Lee. He knows what he is doing and he is a very nice and supportive trainer. If you need or are thinking about seeing a personal trainer give Lee a go. He is worth it. Thanks, Richard.
  4. Hi, a local business needs some HR help. We need help to introduce contracts and a staff handbook to our staff. What we really need is some HR advice and help with implementation. Anyone out there? Fair price paid or we can pay in bicycle bits and help. Thanks all, Richard @ Balfe's Bikes.
  5. Hi all, Daniel Santa and his team at DS Repairs just re-fitted out our workshop and toilet. They did all the plumbing as well as installing new lights and extraction. Also lots of plastering and decorating. They came in on budget, on time and not only were pleasant people but were a joy to have around. The quality of their work was very high. I'll be using Daniel again for sure, fetch him on; Daniel Santa: 07580377153 [email protected] Thanks, Richard.
  6. Hi, we sell trailers at Balfe's Bikes on East dulwich Rd. We stock Thule which now incorporate Croozer and also other brands. ?200 is an ok budget that we can work with and get you something decent enough in. Pop in for a chat if you like. Thanks, Richard.
  7. Hi I wanted to post a recommendation for Justin the builder / handyman (07912732506) who helped me out last Wedsnesday to move into our new flat. I left a long list of things to do and I was worried there was too much but he got through it all with time to spare, putting up four blinds, curtain rail, three baby gates, getting eight Windows to open that had been painted shut and a few other smaller jobs. Really nice chap, very trustworthy and capable of much more than just diy but happy to turn his hand to all maintenance jobs. Very reasonable rate for a good days work, local chap. I'll be using Justin again for sure. Thanks, Rich
  8. Come see us at Balfe's Bikes! (36 east Dulwich Road, SE22 9AX. 020 7732 4170.) We stock Thule, the Glide Jogger and Urban Glide Jogger. My wife uses the Urban Glide Jogger for our young son and runs two or three times weekly with it. We have had it for 10 months now and it is as good as new. One handed fold, very light. Couldn't ask for more, great! The Glide Jogger is a bit more focused on running only and not as versatile as our one but if you already have an everyday pram this might be a good one to go for. Come down, we have them in stock, you can take it for a run! Thanks, Rich
  9. Hi, I run Balfe's Bikes and use my Nihola for work and my kids. It's part of the family and key to our routine. Feel free to pop down and see mine, I too would recommend the electric assist version although mine is not. We just started dealing Nihola so have some really low offer prices at the mo. Richard
  10. Rose's Fish and Chips. Yes they are new owners and they spent a week properly steam cleaning the place after the old tenants left it in a state. I had lovely Cod and Chips there and intend to as much as possible which will be dangerous as I own the bike shop five doors along. So yes, biased. Also tho I know what is good for the stretch and these guys are. I am so glad they are here. Support your local chippy and you shall be rewarded with lovely brown hotstuff and pickles.
  11. Hi, we need a bookeeper with experience for 10-15 hours or 2-3 days per week. Hours are flexible so can be around childcare, other jobs etc. Knowledge of the accounting software Xero would be very useful. Other duties would include checking invoices to suppliers / staff rotas inc' holiday admin / filing. At present the business does not have any real methods in place so we are looking for someone who is organised and can take decisions pro-actively to help shape these procedures for the future. For the first month you will spend a lot of time with me, Richard getting upto speed. The role would initially be for three months and if the business can support the extra pay then the role would be ongoing for the future. We are looking for someone mature, organised and discreet. Look forward to hearing..... Richard.

  15. I'd also like to recommend Mehmet. He is doing some gardening work for us in Gypsy Hill and really knows his stuff! Is a quick worker and very reasonable. Lovely chap would be happy to leave him to work alone coming and going through the house. Big thumbs up for Mehmet!!! (07910754636)

  18. Hi, do any families out there have the new Mitsubishi Outlander Phev? We are a family of four and are trying to narrow down a new family car. Your experience appreciated! Richard.
  19. Hi all, I need help developing an electrical gizmo I am trying to create. Does anyone out there have a practical knowledge of how car trackers work and are able to disassemble and understand? As far as my knowledge is limited to I can only explain so far; but I need an understanding of voltages, amps and how mobile phones work. I can supply all parts and am not a nutter, at least no more than anyone else on the EDF on a Friday night. Paid work obviously, an engineering student with an electrical twist would be ideal. Look forward to any recommendations. Kindest, Richard. 07894 402 566.
  20. Hi All, I had Joe in to decorate my shop recently (Balfe's Bikes on East Dulwich Road) and he did a really really good job. He obviously knows what he is doing and had a really high standard of work. I'd thoroughly recommend him, his details are: EDF: joseph.mccann email: [email protected] tel: 07815517796 Come to the shop if you want to see his handy work. Kindest, Richard.

  22. Hi, I need part of my bike shop in Streatham painting. I estimate it at about five days work and can supply all materials. Would suit labourer or handyman or youngster looking for some spare cash. Work must be completed during opening hours. Must be confident up a ladder. My budget is ?100 per day. Anyone interested? Richard.
  23. Hi all, I just wanted to recommend Darren Gray (www.darrengrayfitness.com) 07904 331 044. I went to see Darren in November to try and lose a few pounds between then and Xmas and lost 12 pounds, I am now going back twice a week post Xmas to keep it up! We do a bit of cardio, some toning up. Darren is really enthusiastic and it's been great, hard work during but ultimately very satisfying. Yes this IS a plug for Darren but just because it has worked out really well for me so highly recommended!
  24. I'd second LozzyLoz! Lorenzo took some lovely pics of my young family (and I think babies can be quite challenging to snap) and now like saddos we have them all over our house. Highly recommended, very nice chap and very good at making you feel comfortable. Even babies!
