We saw the male heron in dulwich park the other weekend. He grabbed a baby rat out the reeds and dispatched it by drowning and crushing....lovely. The rat was squealing it's head off. Nature at it's finest.

Anybody got any views on this? We were thinking Pedder but have heard they are only local and might not have as much reach to potential buyers in other areas of London. Cheers

Strange bottles full of orange liquid

The only way to figure this one out is for someone to go and have a wee dram and report back. Any offers? -
Yep no cavity as it's Victorian. Was thinking of upgrading the loft insulation anyway so if it does work out to be for real and the council pay for it then it's a bonus. Will wait to hear from the guy at Southwark to confirm it's for real. It's just a bit odd them not going into any detail of who would be paying etc.

Has anyone else received a letter from the council about a company coming round their house to carry out a survey to see whether their property is suitable for wall or loft insulation? The letter doesn't state if the council will pay for this and leaves things unexplained. We own our property and thought this may have been sent by accident as it seems like something more to do with social housing. I have called Southwark but didn't manage to speak to the person on the letter (left a voicemail) Can anyone enlighten me?

If you have fire/smoke alarms they should go off way before the smoke gets bad enough not to see and find any keys. Just put them somewhere away from the door in a container so you know exactly where to go straight away. -

Walking in South East London
lofty replied to Lost Yorkshire Man's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There are nice areas to the east and west of Sevenoaks. You can get the train to Sevenoaks from a couple of stations I believe. I did a 14 mile walk with plenty of hills near there the other weekend with some friends. -
