Look towards Nunhead direction (if you happen is be awake) at about 5.45 am. You can see them lining up to fly in. Saw 4 once. I only notice the noise now its warm enough to leave the windows open during the night.

I reckon whoever is doing this is actually driving in around in a car/van to carry out the act. You can't get far with Jerry cans full of fuel - they're too heavy. This could be happening as a little criminal business. To go to all the effort of getting up in the dead of night, every week. You'd want to steal enough to sell on to make to worth while. Starts off with mopeds - gets confident with not being caught - goes on to stealing from cars .. Nice little earner with the price of fuel these days.

Maybe i'm too new to the Forum but there seems to be an explosion of thefts for petrol, phones, wallets etc in a fairly small area. We must get the police to patrol this area at night or at the very least, put some CCTV in place. I'm not feeling very safe & a bit depressed by it all .. Can Mr Barber offer any assistance ? (I'm cc'ing the other threads - hope people don't mind)

Summed up perfectly Firstmate. Which takes us back to who on earth gave the go-ahead for this huge school on a tiny sight (triple its predecessor). As someone with 3 young boys & living not 100 yards from the Academy. I use both the park & potentially will the school. I voted to keep the lovely old school building & its size - both have been ignored by Southwark Council. Charter School beckons me thinks .. such a shame. As the actress said to the Bishop - "Its just to big". ::o

Surely its illegal, not to mention unethical to house 900 kids in a structure, with no "immediate" access to outdoor space ? How much school time will it take up being bused the the South Bank for PE ? And what about lunch hour ? Do they have to remain indoors/seated .. ? I just don't get understand how this size building got approved.

Someone mentioned earlier that the park was out of bounds - so where on earth are they going to play/exercise outside ?

900 boys in one place .. i've got 3 and its hard work. Be interested to see how it performs. Zero outdoor space is a major worry .. hope i don't have to up sticks in a few years to Kent ..::o

Knocked on my door (2nd time in 3 weeks) last night at 9pm. Getting a bit annoying .. Is this illegal ?

Is yr bike on the main road or your driveway Snowman ? I've been done 3 times, and totally sympathise. Thought about staying awake one night to see what happens, but i've got 3 young kids and i'm knackered by 10pm .. and what would i do when/if by some miracle i'd picked the right night they come by .. bang on the window ? They'd probably make a concerted effort to come back the next night. How depressing. :(

Oh believe me i've been moanin' (and reporting to the Police too). Who by-the-way closed the case 48 hours after i reported it happened without actually doing anything. Still, it'll be lighter outside soon, so hopefully we can all keep an eye on the roads/driveways for these robbers. B)
