  1. I?d also like to recommend Doug who has just built some alcove units, shelving and a bathroom cabinet for us. From the initial meeting he was easy to deal with, knew his stuff and showed lots of pictures of his work which was helpful. He turned up in person which was unlike someone else I called from the forum who said he was too busy to come round and I should send pictures and measurements! I?m really pleased with the quality of his work and wouldn?t hesitate to recommend him.
  2. We have ordered two cakes now from Holly at Etiole Bakery and both were absolutely delicious - the design far surpassed our expectations. A while back she made us a christening cake, complete with an icing replica of our daughter's favourite toy on top. Most recently a birthday cake for our son to a spiderman theme. Her service was fantastic, she designed our cakes for us and was very responsive and obliging. It's a small family business and run very professionally. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality she provides. If you need a cake made you should definitely give her a go, the website details are below... http://etoilebakery.co.uk/
  3. I went to Traci at Lawler Steel after having a bad hair colour experience at another local salon. I had previously used a West End salon for 15 years but once I had kids found the trek to up to town inconvenient. Traci sorted my colour out which I'm really pleased with and suggested an update for my haircut - much needed. I have recommended her to lots of friends who continue to use her, so she must be doing something right. I agree choosing the right hairdresser is a personal thing but in my opinion she's worth the money and cuts down my travelling time.
