Watched the highlights last night and they didn't even put up the list of runners before showing the heats of the 100m mens. Just a jumble of raes. Very poor! Re false start rule - apparently it was put in because some athletes were deliberately false starting when they had another chance to unsettle their opponents. In swimming they have the same rule - one false start and you are out - and they seem to manage ok?

Not true at all. Its particularly galling after we were all applauding him and singing his name at Saturday's game when we knew he was moving away for more money!

They are filming the sunflowers which have been planted by the carwash -
Has anyone else noticed the lovely sunflowers which have been planted by the car wash. Saw some people cultivating the land there but not sure if they work in the car wash or they just go round planting on scrub areas. Anyway many thanks to whoever it was - they look lovely!

If anyone is thinking of going to see "The Tree of Life" take my advice and do something else with the two hours you will save by not watching this tripe!

Thanks all for your comments. I have read the book and found it interesting. Just like to add that I rarely eat junk food or fast food for that matter and exercise 4 times a week but nothing seems to shift this middle aged spread!
