  2. On a more positive note re Sainburys I had the misfortune to do my shopping at the Forest Hill branch on Friday night. No raspberries, no Vogels bread and only one display carton of Green and Blacks chocolate! You have to feel for the poor residents of Forest Hill! Roll on Thursday's opening of the ED branch!
  3. Yes we know - its like checkpoint charlie trying to navigate along Edgar Kail way to get to my home in Abbotswood Road! Can't you just put up a sign outside saying shop is closed instead of interrogating everyone who turns into that road?!

  7. Chubster - I regret I was unable to tear myself away from the good food and wine to venture outside to the course bookmakers so placed my bets on the tote instead. Won 2 races but still came away ?10 down! Very enjoyable evening out - especially catching the river boat from the station to the course.

  10. Same here - down to Vauxhall, over Chelsea bridge, up through Earls court, left onto M4
  11. Bleep - have you found out if any pubs are showing La Liga? Might be good to have a Forum get together with Real vs Barca supporters?
  12. DM - its an evening meeting and not as posh as Ascot so no need for a hat! Agreed on the wedges. Hope no-one is on the 176 on Monday night when I get poured off the train from Windsor into Waterloo!

  14. Nero - you buy a normal cork noticeboard with a wooden frame which has flat cork on it and then stick the wine corks on - no need to cut in half although I suppose you could if you wanted? I suppose I could post a picture of it on here if you wanted?

  23. I have made a cork notice board with some of mine. Buy a notice board then stick the corks onto the board with some glue. Works a treat!
  24. Congratulations! Am welling up sitting at my desk and looking at the wedding photos!
  25. Sometimes I wonder why we go to all this trouble for vegetarians! They never offer to cook meat for me in return when I visit them for dinner?
