Went in yesterday and had a lovely coffee and pain au chocolat - very reasonably priced. Also gave me a loyalty card which unusually gives me my next coffee for free instead of having to buy 9 first to get one free!

One more point from two games and we will be through to the next round - probably to meet Real or Barcelona and get dumped out straight away! Great game for the first hour and then the not so unbelievable happened - although their first goal was definitely offside

Tried to get the 6.30 tonight - eventually got into ED at 7.05!

Just been to see Gone Girl the new David Fincher film with Ben Affleck and Rosamunde Pike. Very enjoyable, lots of twists and turns to the story and a very unexpected ending!

Would have been on 14 points if Blind hadn't scored in final minutes last night!

Great night at the Emirates last night. Can anyone explain why I always have my handbag searched on entry when I clearly am carrying nothing dodgy and yet the away fans are able to bring in flares and fireworks? I hope Galatasary get a hefty fine.

Highlight on ITV tonight of League Cup games. Unfortunately I was at the Emirates last night! Great goals by Sanchez and a cracker from Clyne - Southampton were very impressive indeed.

It would seem that a lot more people are taking the bus - I know I do as cannot face Platform 15 in the morning. Had to wait for the third bus to come along yesterday outside ED station as first two were completely full.

Very bad week for me but lying on a sun lounger in Sardinia takes away the pain

My favourite musical is Miss Saigon or Evita is coming on in a couple of week. Have seen both Jersey Boys and Commitments - not overly keen on either but depends on your taste in music. I can also highly recommend Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - great cast and very funny

Streetcar Named Desire was incredible. Go at 5pm and get a raffle ticket for the extra seats. Draw is at 5.30pm and all tickets only ?20.
