  1. We had this about a month ago on Overhill Road, when we said no to buying something they pulled of the electric doorbell after hitting the door (we did not realise until the morning it came off) and it stopped working. We warned our neighbours on the whatsapp group as these is not the first time they have been round the road.
  2. On Overhill road we seem to get one big wad of post about every two weeks, even if it was posted first class if it is at the end of the cycle, it can take two weeks plus to get here for first class. Post is arriving at least so I something to be grateful for.
  3. Three months worth of contact lenses due on 1st Sept arrived on Friday so huge relief as I will now be able to see. Also had a signed for letter from 10 August delivered same day, only six weeks later! Better late than never I suppose. Not had a "standard letter" for a long time however.
  4. Has anyone attempted to go to the sorting office and ask for their post? I am thinking this might be my only option. I have been told a few times by RM parcel delivery folk (not my deliveries but by grabbing the person as the van parked nearby) that the back log of post are all in large trolleys sorted by road which are continually increasing. Just a thought, it may be a futile exercise however.
  5. I have two items from May apparently still with Royal Mail, another item from 10th August that is still with them according to the tracking. I now have 3 months worth of contact lenses that normally get here 1st Sept and still not arrived... we had one letter yesterday that was recent but nothing from all of Augusts outstanding or before. Its an absolute shambles and I will have to start claiming for missing post soon.
  6. A parcel due on 13th August arrived today, still awaiting a bunch of letters due around same time. I also have still not received a parcel from May that according to the tracking is still with Royal Mail
  7. Still awaiting some late Mid may deliveries, people on our road received some early May deliveries last week so I live in hope.
  8. I'm getting still getting older stuff delivered in reverse, last week had mid may post, still awaiting a few items that were due to arrive early May but Mid may post arrived last week, very recent stuff now whilst a taking a week to get here is roughly on track.
  9. On Overhill Road we had two people (face covered hoods up, dress in black, id guess between 13-15/16 years old from height and build) going up to a neighbours door and the house directly next door, opening the letter box and looking through, I and a couple of other neighbours saw this came out, and they scarpered quickly, this was on Sunday at around 5pm on the Overhill / Underhill Rd junction.
  10. There is a sign up saying it is closed unless being used for a funeral and stated social distancing. We used to walk in there daily and firstly it was never very busy at all and everyone adhered to social distancing very well. Its seems another useful area to for the daily exercise which will make the pavements busier or push more people to the park which will probably then get closed due crowding anyway.

That,s when I > insisted the bank send cards and pins to my bank > branch instead. I did think that but my thoughts were most letters do come all the way through and its pretty rare they are stuck in the letter box if unless its thick, also the letters were 3/4 days apart so they probably have know, this is just me guessing so I am not sure. Also I work from home and most of the time see the postman arrive (including when the letters were supposed to arrive) and I check the letter box to see if any are in there.
  12. I had a different type of Bank fraud recently but Bank Fraud nonetheless. A card was sent to my home address that I never received (annoying my bank did not say it had been sent as I expected it later) and then separate to that a pin was sent in a separate letter which again I never received. Both letters never made it to my letter box and I received an email saying my account was overdrawn. I contacted my bank and they informed me someone tried to take out the max they could from that account having previously checked the balance, luckily its an old account with very little in so the damage was minimal and I was re-funded. My bank has pointed me in the direction of the post office given I do not have a shared letter box and did not receive either of the two letters with card or pin that we sent on separate days.
  13. Tried to call back to speak to the manager to see if common sense would prevail and was hung up on, really shocked by the unprofessionalism and rude nature of staff.
  14. Visited many times before and was satisfied, tried to use a gift voucher bought for me as a present that was two days out of date as had to cancel appointment the week before they refused so a waste of ?40. Will never go to them again as thought I was a valued customer but clearly not, poor customer service and the lady on the phone was very very rude and clearly just after your money.

I am on Overhill so close by, one of the guys was aggressive and the comment about house burning down was not pleasant at all, they said ex offenders too. Did you happen to buy and things okay? or turned nasty when said no.
