I've texted David's number few days ago, provided on this forum, but didn't get any reply. Just wonder - if he is still working as a roofer?

Might be a wrong section to post...and yet I try - is there any native Italian speakers who can help? I would really appreciate someone with good sense of humour and who could be able to give some conversation lessons. Please PM. Thanks!

Hi Steve, Is your phone number correct? We've tried to contact you couple times on number provided to no avail. We would like to refurbish/replace couple old sash windows at our place and would appreciate to book your visit. Thanks

We could recommend Billy at Hunter Heating. He installed new boiler and new radiator at our place few weeks ago. Professional, reasonable and friendly. We found him via friend's recommendation and didn't regret hiring him. He is Gas safe and Checkatrade registered also.

Thanks jig!

Dustbin raders out and about along Copleston Road
alica replied to trinidad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Trinidad- I can't help but feel frustrated reading your post. You seemed to be "noticed" quite a lot while just "passing by"..!how do you know those women were Eastern European? Did they introduce themselves to you? While I understand it's rather awkward to see anyone snooping in your bins, however to make assumptions that people who go through your rubbish must be Eastern European - sounds worse. I know for sure that my Polish friend would be extremely upset if she reads your comments. -
Two young students who work in Potager juice bar ( corner of the forest hill and dunstans road opposite Peckham park) were robbed today in broad daylight. Their own bags ( with all their personal belongings) were stollen while they were actually serving customers. Shocking! Apparently it happens in late afternoon just before their closing time.Police were there yet it is very unlikely they find those thieves or girls bags. East Dulwich doesn't seems to be save neighbourhood anymore.

Thanks guys for all responses and recommendations. It seems that numbers are limited for good accountants in Dulwich?where they are all hiding? I'm prepared to expand my search beyond local area... Rawsparks - I've PM you.

Car drivers needed to help with collection of students stuff from Brighton next week. If anyone is planning to drive to ( or from) Brighton to East Dulwich - please let me know! Unfortunately, my friend who offered to help, had an accident this week and wouldn't be able to help any longer. We are happy to pay for the petrol or to negotiate price. Many thanks in advance!

Hi to all EDF users, Is anyone could reccomend good company for the floor sanding? We are a bit at loss as to where to find reliable one! Here is our daunting experience...We've contacted ( via provided email) 'The Dust free floor sanding" company which adverts we saw in Living South resident magazine ( put through our door), and yet they didn't get back to us. On our followed up call to the company ( phone was provided in magazine also) it turned out just an operator, who has nothing to do with the company ?so eventually we managed to speak to someone who was related to The dust free floor sanding company, but only to tell us that their manager was on holidays and no one else could deal with our request for a "free quote". Though she took our rooms measurements as we were informed - company give free estimate over the phone only, so there wasn't any need for a visit. Aagh...Its been a month since?and still no reply hence any enthusiasm from The Dust free sanding to take new customers:) Is such company really exist? Many thanks in advance, Alica

Builder/ bricklayer required for work on front "garden"
alica replied to KVT's topic in Request a Tradesperson
If you haven't found builder yet, I can recommend local bricklayer, who fixed our front garden wall and repointed house wall. -
Hi Kirsty Could you provide recommendations from people you've worked for? Or any references? Thanks Alica

Lebanese loop?! Have been in Middle East, but had never experienced any threat to my wallet... Yet I was attacked outside Barclays bank on Lordship lane by some junkies ( as established by police) in a broad daylight...I wonder do people in Beirut call any ATM failure ( which is worldwide spread!)as an "English loop"?!
