  1. Leah started learning how to play the piano with Sue Klein ([email protected]) over two years ago. Leah was a complete beginner but Sue has very patiently helped her learn pieces set for her and practice at home between lessons. It has been great to note how Leah has progressed over time and how Sue has encouraged Leah to feel the music she is playing. Sue has wonderfully helped Leah build up her confidence to play in front of others at concerts Sue organises locally for both children aged between 6 and 14 and adults doing diploma recorder and Grade 8 piano. The first of these concerts were just a few months after Leah began taking lessons. She was the first to play a piece that day! Moreover it is great to listen to all those students at different levels who have been taking piano, recorder and clarinet lessons with Sue. Leah has been on a piano waiting list at her new secondary school for the last few months and we trust that Leah will continue to further progress in her playing after the excellent start Sue has given to her. 2. We've now twice used Advanced Painters (contact Brian, mobile 07931 261825) for the exterior decoration of our houses, most recently after a move to Goodrich Road. A previously drab wood-stained finish has now been transformed with a stylish mid-grey. I am the son of painter and decorator and appreciate the attention Brian pays to the preparation of surfaces. We have lots of people who on passing the house ask us about the great colour and how the potential of the house is now being realised.
  3. Hi there - just to let you know that the Dulwich and District Twins Club now has seven sets of triplets amongst members - two triplet parents and parents to be have joined in the last few months, and all of the parents with slightly older triplets - aged 3 to 5 - are also very happy to be emailed if advice is what you need. Yes, I would say it's a very friendly group - I'm biased though! David Saywell, Membership Secretary and Dad to Eve and Leah, now 4 years old. [email protected] - if you would like to get in touch with the other triplet parents, and possibly join as a member (?12 / year)
  4. Carrie It was great to see your message and find out a bit more about past history of the Dulwich and District Twins Club - we have been trying to find out when the Club was started and knowledge has tended to stop around 2000, so very useful to know it was around in 1994. Do you have any more information? We'd love to put some early history into the newsletter! David Saywell (Membership Secretary, and Dad to Eve and Leah, now 4 years old)
  5. Hi there Flutterby I'm the Membership Secretary for the Dulwich and District Twins Club and I'd be happy to send around an email about a night nanny to our 120 or so members if that helps. If you are interested in joining the Club, please also contact me - it's just ?12 / year or free to single parents. We've an Expectant Parents evening on 23 February - this might help too. Contact me at [email protected] and I'll send you more information or I'll run through what works best in terms of an email and getting a good set of responses from our Members. Regards David (Dad to Eve and Leah, now 4 years old)
