  1. Hi David, Can we move this conversation over to email? Mine is [email protected] We would be interested in an initial chat if you can one evening next week The property address is 53, Bishopsthorpe rd, London, SE26 4PA. Do you know The Thorpes area in Sydenham? Thanks Yasmin 07707759460
  2. Looking for an architect who has experience working in conservation areas. Possible house extension project for next year, but want to get the ball rolling
  3. Hi there, You may want to try designer drapes in Penge, my sister used them for her window shutters and I am getting my couch recovered by them at the moment, they do fitted curtains as well. http://designerdrapes.co/ Yaz
  4. Perhaps KidKruger you weren't there the morning I queued up with a very frail unwell elderly lady and I just thought to myself they should have least given her a break and tried to make it work for her. I do have a full time job.
  5. The Gardens is the best one I think if you are close, I'm at DMC and its crap although the Lanes Midwifery is attached to DMC and they are great. As soon as I have had my baby I'm planning on moving to The Gardens if I can get in. http://www.thegardenssurgery.co.uk/ I recently go asked to take part in the annual survey for DMC, if you are registered with DMC you should do the survey, it doesn't take long, but the more people who take part and voice how crap it is the better: The Annual GP Patient Survey (Part 1): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WFGPNPT The Annual GP Patient Survey (Part 2): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/W37MC7P The Annual GP Patient Survey (Part 3): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VZJZ9XM
  6. I'm registered at the surgery and can never get a bookable appointment that isn't less than 2 weeks away. The options are: Put your name down for a possible cancellation that may or may not come in that day or Queue up at the crack of dawn for a same day appointment I recently got added to their PPG (Patient Participation Group) and was sent these survey links to fill out, if you are as fed up as I am, and have about 5 mins spare, I would do the survey: The Annual GP Patient Survey (Part 1): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WFGPNPT The Annual GP Patient Survey (Part 2): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/W37MC7P The Annual GP Patient Survey (Part 3): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VZJZ9XM
  7. Looking to replace our sash windows with sash double glazed windows can anyone recommend a company they have used recently? Please PM me, property is on Jennings Rd, SE22
  8. The roof over our bay window is badly damaged and causing water damage issues to the inside of the house looking for a builder to fix this, not an insurance claim. Please PM me - property address is on Jennings Rd, SE22.
  9. Alan is actually called Andy! The mobile number is correct (07983688451)
  10. I'm just guessing its off the hook because the phone queuing system doesn't even kick in when you call between those hours, it is just the engaged tone, anyhow that has been my experince. May have to consider changing doctors surgery.
  11. Thanks for sharing your expeiences, I was talking about Dulwich Medical Centre on Chystal Palace Rd. I think the staff are fine and polite. I guess they should just fess up and say they don't actually answer the phone between 8am and 9am (its off the hook) thats why it is constantly engaged as they have come to realise that those REALLY wanting an appointment will turn up at 8am and start queing...not great at all! The doctors are fine once you get to see one, it is getting to see one that is the issue. I wonder how many missed appointments they have in a week? Think people should be charged for their missed appointments!
  12. What is it with this surgery! Why is it so difficult to get an appointment? Its at least a 4 week wait to get a doctors appointment, what if its serious? The phone lines open at 8am and are constantly engaged, by the time you get through all the appointments are gone for that day. I actually had to turn up at the surgery door at 8am to get an appointment and was surprised by the number of people doing the same thing? How is that acceptable? Where does one complain to? Or has it been like that for ages and we all just accept it?
  13. Having a Waitrose around the corner does not define a town or a city! Perhaps the shopping experience and the quality of the food may be better, but really get a grip! ED has an array of wonderful small, family owned businesses that makes the place so unique compared to the surrounding areas, the choice you have far out ways having a Waitrose round the corner...after all loo roll is loo roll!!!! Oh and for the comment about the ?whilst those working-class fried chicken munchers over the hill? not everyone in Sydenham is working class and neither do we eat fried chicken all day...shame on you!
