  1. Thanks for this. They were very helpful and friendly and quick! Perfect recommendation!
  2. Can anyone recommend a local outfit / stone mason to cut a slab of marble? We need a couple of holes drilled in an existing slab, or perhaps a new 1m x 0.5m piece of marble? Thank you! Kat
  3. In case you were wondering (or wandering)...

Work can be done any time between now and last week of Dec. (by the 20th latest). If interested please get in touch. References may be needed. PM us, or send an email to: [email protected] thanks! Kathryn and David
  5. House near The Actress pub. Back from a two day overseas trip today Friday 15th Feb. Came through side gate, upstairs window entry. Took 2 big iMacs, jewellery and my car! Police said there has been a rash in the last few weeks. Suspect a gang is operating in the area.
  6. My girlfriend just lost her purple-red-black leather purse around the Northcross Road / Crystal Palace Road nexus. Everything in it. Please let me know if you find anything. Sun,
  7. They should invent top trumps for Dulwich Pubs. Decor: They've done a nice job polishing it up. Very spacious. Loads of comfy chairs and corners. 8/10 Food: Good, solid, but nothing special. Though I haven't tried the barbecue specials they do on weekends. ?7-8 a dish 6/10 Atmos: It was quite empty in there on a Friday night. It's empty most evenings. Due to the locations and scant news of its upgrade. 5/10 Families: No kids portions on the meals (I had to buy a full adults bangers @ mash for my daughter). Also no simple foods for kids (i.e. line-caught mackerel with balsamic tomatoes instead of fish finger sandwich with tomato ketchup). Outside area is spacious. Board games inside but not out. 4/10 Booze: Very good selection of beers (fruits, whites, odd Dutch beers). Good wine list. 8/10 Daytime: It's completely empty. So it's a good hangout for writers, parents, loners (of which I am all three). I often go there for a coffee. 7/10 Any other categories?

    Freecycling

Hey all I'm new to the ED Forum and I must say it is a skill idea. I've been getting into eco stuff lately and I wondered if the EDF could benefit from a Freecycling forum? The premise is simple: Freecycling is an alternative to Recycling. It works like a reverse Ebay. Local people proffer the things they might otherwise take to the dump, give to charity, or simply leave on the kerb. The idea is keep stuff out of landfills. Sure you can ebay a lot of stuff, but it's hassle. And obviously this is South London and anything left outside the door disappears within 12 seconds. But if someone is willing to show up and take away and USE those old computer cables, or that old filing cabinet, or that Beatrice Potter bread bin, the result is still a reduction in waste. www.freecycle.org What do you reckon? People could post up stuff they're going to chuck with a proviso that they'll kerb it if no one interested in 24 hours. Sun
