Does anyone have a phone number that actually works for STMH? The ones via the internet are useless...

Does anyone have a number for "washing machine Dan" (or similarly recommended person)? Steve is on holiday until July 16 and my machine's packed up. thanks

Christ, where now for Barn Owl gratin? Lordship Lane won't be the same after this.

yes. it's dreadful. and what's more the children have no respect and I can't tell the difference between the boys and the girls. In other grindingly tedious news, policemen are getting younger.

"Think we need something more practical like a Greggs or BK. We don't need another pretentious independent shop to add to the rest of the shops aimed at only a small niche middle-class price range." I haven't been on here for a year or two, but thrilled to see "Louisa" is still hammering away at this gag. -

Penguin - a genuine question. "If we feel uncomfortable when we see a group of youths from a specific ethnic background walking towards us then that surely is a racist reaction" - yes. it surely is. But if we don't feel uncomfortable in any way until the moment, say, some of the group noisily suck their teeth as they pass us, then are they being racist or are we?

Can I ask a question? My children go to Alleyn's so I, literally, couldn't care less about this. Does that make me racist? I'm genuinely worried now that I'm not responding to the issue correctly.

I had a dream last night that every dog in London died peacefully in its sleep. There was no more sh*t on the streets, no p*iss-stinking trees, no parent had to pick poison from their children's shoes, no toddler was bitten or licked by a tongue recently to be found cleaning a pair of testicles, no half-wits wandered around with attack beasts on bits of rope. it was kind of amazing, tbh.

As a rule I never drink further down Lordship Lane than The Palmerston. I can't imagine a Wetherspoons will make me change my mind.

Perhaps the poor beggar ate something vile at Le Moulin?
