  1. There's no better place for info than: Homebirth Ref site There's also a forum which I found invaluable when I had lots of questions later in my pregnancy about induction and the like x
  2. Hi there, I have just done as you have described for the exact same reasons. I put my lascal buggy board on my P&T sport, (minus lower seat as 3.5 year old mostly scooters or walks, but occasionally gets very tired). I did have it on my maclaren, which I tried for a few weeks, but I missed the P&T too much. I found pushing the maclaren with the buggy board like pushing it through mud. Since putting it on the P&T it's SO much easier. HOWEVER - the lascal really didn't want to go on the P&T and they don't really seem compatible. The brake is kind of in the way, so I had to fix it to the 'higher axel' bit? The securing bits (sorry not easy to describe without picutres!)didn't go very easily around this axel as the material for the basket kind of gets in the way...Also because the top seat of the P&T comes quite far back, when my toddler stands on the board the handle bar is in her face, so I find it better to tilt the handle bar as high as it will go. It makes for an interesting sight! Toddler has to hold on quite high up as she is holding the handle bar too. Having said all that it works well for us for the 5 min walk to & from nursery....hope that helps!
  3. Thanks ladies, some great ideas. I made a banana, peanut butter and ice cream milkshake for her pudding today. She loved it. Had to stop myself from guzzling the lot. We also made some cakes yesterday. I'm enjoying this convalescing business! Like you say Vanessa, I hope she doesn't get used to it :)
  4. Hello, we are now just about clear of this horrid bug. I just wanted to ask if anyone had any good ideas for 'building up' my 'skin and bones' toddler following nearly a week with little more than a bit of toast here and there. She looks awful. Very frail with sunken eyes and has visibly lost weight (was already very slim!). I know a normal diet and time and she will pick back up, but couldn't help thinking I'd like to give her a helping hand with anything I can to boost her up a bit. Any one with food tips or is it worth buying anything particular? Thank you! x
  5. Ok so vomiting subsided for now....none since 5am so I count that as excellent news. Off to but some coke in a mo, thanks for tips ladies x
  6. Thanks saffron. It's really hard, she's thirsty but then chucks it back up, even the tiniest of sips. She did 1 wee today....sure I'll be up most of the night so will encourage more small sips. Her poor tummy is cramping so badly all the little veins popping out on her face/eyelids and almost choking. Very horrible to watch. Boy is on day 5 so really hope we don't have another 5 days to go! He seemed to keep more fluid down.
  7. Anyone got any tips when they are sicking up EVERYTHING including sips of water? My 3 yr old has been throwing up bile all day and is worse if she sips water, let alone attempts any kind of food. Just a bit worried about dehydration.
  8. Just came on here to see if anyone else suffering. Youngest on day 5 of vomiting and diarrhoea and eldest started vomiting at 4 this morning. Really crumpled over vomiting - horrible for them. I can't get to drs now with both of th puking and not sure they'll do anything anyway....really hope it passes soon. Hubby away it's tough on my own! X
  9. Hi Ruth, my 3 year old goes to Ladywell and loves it. There are a ton of mums with smaller babes, all staring through the glass at our toddlers who are very well looked after by the teachers - 2 of them) whilst trying to feed/wind - or in my case stop my 20month old knackering vending machines/climbing stairs/legging it out to car park. You will be in good company :) x
  10. I can't even bring myself to read it. I know it would make me too cross.

Enjoy! Ps there's also a baby gym at Honor oak community centre- not far from ivy dale on alternate Fridays, needs booking, but is ?1 per family. Great value for my 2.
