  1. Hi! I didn’t check the price, just had a quick chat with Keith (the owner). It’s right next to the pharmacy in the village.
  2. Just spotted a new organic shop open in Dulwich Village — looks like it could become a regular stop. Proper selection of fresh veg, a few interesting local products, and it doesn’t feel overly polished (in a good way). Worth a look if you’re in the area.
  3. Haha fair! Not an ad @Peckhampam — just genuinely excited to have something new (and tasty) pop up in the neighbourhood. Thought I’d share in case others hadn’t spotted it yet. Always good to support local! I agree with you @Sue, yeah it’s a bold move! Maybe they’re betting on empanadas becoming the next sourdough? In any case, nice to have options — curious to see how both do.
  4. New local gem alert! Just when we thought East Dulwich couldn’t get any better — a new café “Chango” has landed on the high street, and it’s all about empanadas! 🥟 This cosy spot is serving up golden, hand-crimped parcels packed with flavour — from classic beef and chimichurri to mouthwatering veggie options. Freshly baked, ridiculously moreish, and perfect with their strong coffee or a glass of Malbec 🍷☕.
  5. Antique Sheffield silver collection - £100 (all you see in the photos)
  6. I’m deeply saddened to hear about this tragic loss. My heart goes out to the family, friends, and everyone at the dry cleaners during this incredibly difficult time.
  7. Having parking spaces outside the shops on Lordship Lane seems to benefit Southwark Council more than anyone. They offer 30 minutes of free parking, but have three parking officers patrolling, ready to issue fines the moment the time is up. On top of that, the signs are unclear or not visible to must drivers. A good example is the parking space outside Kanella, where parking isn't allowed before 10:00 AM. The number of tickets issued to drivers in the morning is unbelievable! There was a black van parked outside Lordship Flooring for months, and I never once saw it get a ticket! After months parked outside Lordship Flooring, the van was moved to the front door of FitFor gym and stayed there for over a month as well!
  8. I completely agree with you, but it seems like the greedy Southwark Council is more focused on the number of tickets they can issue to fine people!
  9. The council could make the pavement wider but they won't because they need the money from the fines, pure greed!
  10. Would love to see a report on all the changes made and money spent, in the last two years, at the crossing on Carlton Ave with Turney Road?
  11. I'm totally in favor 🙌, I don't drive! We could widen the sidewalk and halve parking on Lordship Lane - that would help the shops and shoppers! Would love to see some of the side roads closed too! I'd love to find out how and where Southwark Council has been spending our Council tax! I don't believe it has been on Lordship Lane!
  12. They seem to have plenty of cash to spend in the Village. The number of changes made in the last two years on Carlton Ave with Turney Rd is absolutely ridiculous.
  13. Done, thanks! https://report.southwark.gov.uk/P/FLoq7PA4JYXtE3E6aB
  14. When is the Council going to improve the pavement on Lordship Lane? Does anyone know who we can talk to in the Council to request it? It is almost impossible to walk on it on a rainy day! The Council has three people walking around handing out tickets, plus another one on a motorbike and another in a car parked opposite the Neighbourhood vet every morning - It would be great to see some of the money they make invested on Lordship Lane! #southwarkcouncil
  15. Completely agree! I would prefer to see the Council propose improvements to the pavement on Lordship Lane, I have been here for over 15 years and nothing has been done to improve it - it is almost impossible to walk on it when it rains!
  16. The rubbish in Sainsbury's bags is from a house across the road, this is considered fly-tipping, have other photos with garden rubbish, paint bucket and BBQ, this has been happening for a long time!
  17. The bin outside Harris Primary School has been a spot for fly-tipping weekly. This is now a hazard for the children going to school every day - they have to walk over the rubbish to get into the school! The rubbish has been there since Saturday, it is Tuesday 23 April today and nothing has been done! I've see a person who lives across the road dumping her house rubbish to into the bin but I believe it is not only her now but other people too! This has been reposted to Southwark Council: https://report.southwark.gov.uk/report/5888283
  18. To report a problem caused by a bike: Click on the User icon top left > Help > Improper or illegal parking Maybe because everything they do in the area is driven by money! A good example is Townley Road school restrictions (Mon - Frid 8.00 - 9.00 am / 3.00 - 4.30 pm), the council has place the sign 400 meters into the street instead of the entrance, making it difficult for drivers to notice the sign - the council will also give you a fine on bank and school holiday!
