Hello. I wasn't able to get to the last meet up either but would really love to attend the next one.

Wow, two very strong contenders there in terms of brands. Thanks again all. I really appreciate the advice.
Molly, thanks for the offer of advice on cloth nappies. I have your sessions in the diary to come along to when I am finally on maternity leave (can't come soon enough, I tell you!!)

Thanks very much! I'll do a search for the older threads too.

Hello ED mums and dads
I'm expecting my first baby in December and moving to a new house in November. With the expectation that I'll be doing a LOT more washing on maternity leave and beyond (including reusable nappies!) I figure having a really good washing machine and drier could make life a little bit easier.
So, could anyone recommend a great large capacity washing machine and tumble drier? Is there one you've been eyeing up that you would go for if you had to buy a new one? Performance and green credentials more important than looks as they'll be hidden away in a teeny utility room in the new place (yay!).
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi mrs f
Completely agree with good advice above about getting iron levels checked but thought I would add my experience as it might be reassuring for you. I had healthy blood results but didn't turn a corner in terms of energy levels until a little later than the stage where you are now. I had thought the tiredness would wear off magically at the stroke of midnight at the beginning of the second trimester and felt very cheated when it didn't! But then when I spoke to friends, many told me it took them anywhere up to 20 weeks to really feel themselves again. I recall feeling worse before things got better, but get better they did and I found myself gradually enjoying the experience more and more (now 32 weeks and feeling great). So don't give up hope. It's still early days and you may soon be one of those glowing pregnant women you envy! xx
