We have just had a carpet fitted in our bathroom by Paul, who has a carpet shop called "Nunhead Carpets", 119 Evelina Road, Nunhead (tel 0207 635 5442. We have to say we are very pleased with his work; he did a professional job, very quickly and his prices are extremely reasonable. We would thoroughly recommend him.

I am having a disagreement with my father. He is saying that the removal of the car park on the site of the current Iceland shop, having a NEGATIVE effect on parking in the area, will mean that it won't make any difference to the parking facilities in surrounding streets. I am saying that it WILL have an adverse effect (i.e. put pressure on those trying to find a space in order to shop in M&S)and that if he were correct in his interpretation, the word NEGLIGIBLE should have been used instead of NEGATIVE. So who is right - me, saying that it will adversely affect the parking in surrounding streets and the subsequent shoppers to the new site, or him, saying that it won't make any difference to the parking and that people will find a space anyway? I know this is a trifling matter (and of negligible importance!!) but could someone put me right? Thanks.

Personally I like Iceland. It offers good-quality food at reasonable prices. Not everyone who lives in East Dulwich, can afford to shop in places like The Cheese Shop or numerous other places in Lordship Lane. I think you are being slightly snobbish; I don't mean to offend but that is my opinion.
