  1. We've just moved into a new flat and have a huge garden that has been neglected for years and years.

We primarily need someone to collect junk and rubbish - concrete posts, matress, wood etc - that has been dumped in the garden.

Someone that would also take wood and green waste would also be helpful but not essential

Can anyone recommend someone reliable and reasonably priced?

    Many thanks

  2. Just to address the people questioning the popularity and usage of Carnegie library, I was a regular user and have been for many years. They have a regular adult improver reading group, chess club, gallery, yoga groups and many other events that the librarians have worked so hard to plan and run for all the community. Also the baby/toddler story and singalong on Fridays which some days had 60 kids plus parents making it difficult to even get in.

The last 3 years at the hands of these dedicated librarians had meant that in terms of borrower numbers and users, this is actually one of the most used libraries in the borough.

So yes, the library is very, very busy.

  3. We're moving into a new flat in a month or so and the place we're moving into has been vacant for a long time and subsequently needs a very good clean.

We have 2 one year olds so don't have time to do it ousrelves but we'd like someone to mop floors, clean the kitchen including oven and inside cupboards and clean the bathroom, hoover etc.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations for cleaners that would do this sort of one off job. I guess it might be sort of an end of tenancy-clean thing.

    Many thanks in advance.

  4. Does anyone know if there is a French speaking nursery in the local area?

I thought there was one based in Crystal Palace but I can't seem to find the details now.

I'd be interested in French speaking story or singalong baby groups as well.

Lastly, if anyone knows of a French free school locally or plans to open one I'd be very interested in hearing about it.

    Many thanks

  5. This makes me happy. I went into EDD once to buy bread and once was was enough. Rudest staff ever. Ignored me in the queue for an age then eventually served me very, very begrudgingly. Very foolish given all the amazing places to get delicious food in ED.
