Oh that would explain it, you've obviously been to the Sam Allardyce school of charm which espouses the "I'm English and northern and I'l say what I bloody well like no matter who it upsets" & "foreigners are to blame for all the ills of our glorious country" approach.

  3. Could be worse, when I say my parents are from Cyprus people always assume that they are Greek Cypriots, and not Turkish Cypriots. That really f**ks me off, not because I dislike Greeks but because it highlights the ignorance of the person making the assumption. As Cyprus was a British colony, they have always held British passports even before they came to England, but when they say they are British they always get the same response, "you can't be". Don't get me started!

In the real world the likelyhood of you losing to Luton is comparable to the Pope converting to Islam, highly unlikely.

  12. living for the love of you - Isley Brothers
  13. I like the idea of kids being barred from pubs, as I've already said on another thread. The idea of pubs being Family Friendly is a modern concept which seems to be popular in the more gentrified areas of London populated by well heeled, 4x4 drivers. Yeeeuch!!!!

Try reading my posts properly, I said they had the better chances and on that basis plus the team we put out, Spurs should have won. But they didn't. Listening on the radio ain't the same as being there. Give me strength!!!

  23. Spurs had chances they didn't take, and should have won given the chances and the team we put out, but were not all over us, and I wasn't the only attendee who thought it was a poor game to watch, because the football wasn't great from either side. Still I'll be back on Saturday for the Brum game which I'm sure will be better.
