I guess he > still does it, the opinionated git... Bless him. Morning Keef, thanks for letting me know. After his stint with Graevsie, he just disappeared off the face of the earth. Good to know that one of the stalwarts from the 60t's is still around.
  2. Keef, I agree a promise should be kept, and I've always felt footballers are paid disgusting amounts bordering on the obscene. However, my understanding is that the admin behind the collection of these monies is at fault. Is that not the case??
  3. To quote Greavsie "It's a funny old game". Jimmy has certainly put a few noses out of joint by saying he would rather watch the egg chasers than a game of footy. Still, he's entitled to his opinion, bless him. What ever happened to his side kick, Saint?
  4. Do you not think that Sam "I'm not talking to those horrid people at the BBC" Allardyce might chuck his toys out of his pram if Owen picks up a knock?
  5. Di Canio's push on the ref, the way he went down in installments, and Nigel Winterburn crapping himself when he thought the mad Italian was about to turn on him are etched in my memory forever.
  6. The Iceman Bergkamp was a genius, but overall ( as Arsey loves saying!!!!) TH14 shades it. Together they were awesome!!
  7. I hear what you are saying Jah Lush, but surely this a political problem?
  8. Club versus Country? Should Michael Owen start for England at the risk ( is there one?) of him breaking down again, and being unavailable to the club that pays his wages?
  9. Whilst I realise that Premiership footballers earn an obscene amount of money, I'm a little concerned that something which is a politcal issue has been laid at the door of football by the SUN. I know we should expect no better from such a rag, but this really is sensationalism gone mad. It is not the fault of football or footballers, or any other sportsman or woman for that matter, that the nursing profession is so badly paid. Such stories simply deflect the heat from the real culprits. It is the powers that be, namely our goverment.
  10. Sense and sanity has returned to Ashbuton Grove, and we are back to Red & White. Although our third kit is a mixture of purple and dark blue, but it's not bad.
  11. I appreciate what the man did for the club and count myself as privileged to have witnessed to some great football over the past 9 or 10 seasons (especially considering how shit we were in the 80's). However, I think TH14's decison to leave was probably not just a footballing decision. It probably had more to do with his personal life. Having said that, his departure has led to the guys in his shadow (Van Persie, Adebayor, Walcott, etc.) playing in a way which suggests they have had a weight taken from their shoulders. I wish Thierry all the best for the future, and thank him for the best footballing talent I've witnessed in my 50 years on this planet. I can't say the same for that treacherous dog Cashley Hole. I've no sympathy or love for the man after the way he conducted his departure from the club. I hope he chokes on his ?60k a week. (Is it me , or are footballers wages obscenely high?)

Mind you he did win > us the Worthless Cup so he wasn't all bad. What I don't understand is, the board give Jol all that money to spend then they go and talk to someone else about his job, and to make matters worse, they get found out!!! What were they thinking?? It must impact on the team.
  13. Unfortunately, eastern europe, and Russia are pretty neo-lithic when it comes to the race issue, I know I've seen it first hand when I've been over there following the gunners. They are not the friendliest bunch I've ever come across.
  14. Estonia should (fingers crossed) be a formality, but I have grave misgivings about the trip to Russia. I hope I'm wrong, but I've a gut feeling we'll screw up over there especially on that artificial pitch, which I think should not be permitted. After all the hype the press have given the team in the recent past, I can just see them laying into them if things go badly in Russia.

For your information "Mockney Piers" Atila is name, and yes Jah Lush, that is how it is spelt. I don't believe in hiding behind a made up name. As far as I'm concerned, there is no malice in what I say about Spuds, just winding them up, which judging by Jah Lush's reaction, is dead simple. I'm making hay whilst the sun shines which is what ALL true fans do. But in Spuds case the sun stop shining nearly 50 years ago as far as the title is concerned. And just for the record, I think the way they have treated their best manager for god knows how long, is disgraceful. I hope he gets another club, has some success and shows the Spuds board how stupid they have been. Only CSKA Fulham could treat a manager in a more disreputable way. Oh I forgot,.......... they did. Does this contain less bile "Mockney"? >
  16. Actually there aren't two LL's in my name, and it is my name, so I should know how to spell it. And please don't tell me to Fuck off, there's a good chap. I sense you are uptight because Spuds are at the footend of the table. You should be to used to things going badly by know, as it has been for sometime It's a shame that you've haven't got a sense of humour, because as a spurs fan you really do need one. You spuds fans are so sensitive, wonder why that is?
  17. Can't wait for that game. Should be a good one, but I think we will go to Anfield and take the points. But to be honest I only see Arsenal, Manure and CSKA Fulham in the title race this year. Rafa seems more concerned with the Champs League..., well he did until they played Marseille.
  18. You forgot Cup winners cup, just shows you how well read you are in footballing matters. Oh I forgot, youre a Spuds fan so footballing matters are alien to you. By the way, do you know why Santini left Spuds. When he was told he was going to be managing THFC, he thought it stood for the Thierry Henry Fan Club, boy was he gutted when he found out what he had really let himself in for.
  19. European trophies that are all now defunct!!! As is usual with Spuds fans, you are still trying to relive old glories. Let's talk the here and now, and the recent past. Spurs haven't won the premiership since it's inception, nor has that sad outfit from merseyside. FACT!! Your team has spent shed loads of money, and have been telling anybody that can be bothered to listen, how well you will do with such an array of talent, and you haven't. FACT. At least with me, I don't need my pals to come and help me out in the playground, because that nasty man from Arsenal is saying horrid things about my team.
  20. Have you considered keeping your nose out of it?
  21. Yes it's nice to have something to be smug about, but you Spuds fans wouldn't know about that. How long has it been.............oh yes.........1961, never again. Just accept that your sad club spent a load of money thinking that's what it takes to win things. In CSKA Fulhams' case maybe, but not in yours. You are a small club with delusions of grandeur, and have been for nearly 50 years. Berbatov for the Mancs come New Year.
  22. You sad deluded scouse dope!!!! I don't think and haven't said we'll win everything you twat. My jibe is aimed at Spuds, who deserve having the piss ripped out of them because, put simply, they are shit. If you want me to turn my attention to Liverpool, fine. What's the only ship not to be seen in Liverpool??? The Premiership!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your call.
  23. You silly spud tosser, I've been watching The Arsenal since 1968, unlike all the other glory hunters that suddenly support Chavski and Manure. You're alike all you spuds fans, still living off of 1961 ( never again), and as for "Keef" (probably nicked from The one and Only Keef Richards), what the hell are you on about. Are you on some kind of recreational drug??? Who wants to win any European trophy other than the Champions League?? Presumably you refer to Spuds success in some bygone age in a now defunct tournament. If you can't take it, don't try and dish it out. Jah Lush, you are really one funny man!!
  24. The RSPCA have turned down Martin Jols application for a dog licence as he can't hold onto a lead. Also the Department for Evironment, Food and rural affairs is thinking of putting a mile wide exclusion zone around Shite Hart lane, as 11 mad donkeys have been seen running around aimlessly, frothing at the mouth on the pitch. Yet again Spuds mashed by the gods of Ashburton Grove, and Tottering Hotspuds continue to provide the footballing world with hours of endless hilarity by putting about the deluded fantasy that they are a "Top 4 side". All I can say is "Champions League? You're 'avin' a larf".
  25. It's a simple fact that there are far more pressing issues in the world to concern me, like people dying of starvation and dying in futile wars to bother me rather than a guy who has done ok for himself. It's not hero worship, just a question of prioties.
