  1. Thanks everyone for your replies. I have reported the theft to the police and they came to see the bikes that were dumped. I have managed to find the owner of the Raleigh bike, but the BTwin is still unclaimed. It is a ladies model, small frame. I hope someone might see this who knows the owner.
  2. Hi - my bike was stolen out of my back garden on Saturday night (it was a ladies Ridgeback Classic model, black frame with a blue child seat on the back, if anyone sees it!). The thieves dumped two bikes outside our house and I was wondering if they might belong to anyone local. We have them in our back garden now. One is a Raleigh and the other is a BTwin. Message me if you think either are yours and we can check further details.
  3. I found Aston's name via this thread when I was looking for someone to hang a shelf and a mirror, and, like everyone else, I was very happy with his work. He was prompt and efficient, insisted on hoovering up the residual dust, and generally just seemed like a very kind person. If I need more work done in future I'll definitely ring him again.
  4. Hi - we have an 'up and over' Brio cot and it worked very well to push up against the bed when our little boy got too big for the snooz pod we had. Like the previous poster though, there was a slight gap in between the mattresses so I would stuff my pregnancy pillow in there sometimes. As long as the brakes are on the cot though, it shouldn't cause a problem. Co-sleeping saved me for sure - I felt so rough the nights I had to physically get out of bed to tend to our baby!
  5. Hello, I am an East Dulwich resident, clinical psychologist, and 3rd year PhD student in Developmental Psychology at Durham University. I'm currently looking for 60 adult participants (18 and over) for one of my studies, which is a (mildly!) interesting computer-based attention task. It takes about 45 minutes on a laptop that I provide, and I can meet you anywhere to do this - at your home, at my home, at a local cafe...anywhere that has wireless internet. In the task, which is very non-traumatic, you will be asked to identify the location of vertical lines displayed briefly on the screen over a series of 8 trials. You will then watch 12 short clips of mothers and infants playing together and write something about the interactions. Finally, you will write a description of a close friend and your current romantic partner (if applicable). My PhD research is looking broadly at mother-infant interaction and improving interventions for mothers with mental health difficulties, and this piece of work will be adding to our understanding in this area. I've gotten full ethical approval for the project from my university, which I'd be happy to discuss with you further. Please contact me via the ED Forum if you would like to participate or would like more information. I am recruiting through at least December 2014.
