  2. would you consider trapping and getting him neutered? It would most likely reduce these behaviours that seem to be affecting you and others in the neighbourhood. It would also be better for his health particularly if he's fighting. A male cat can be neutered and released on the same day, they won't have stitches and recover really quickly. I would imagine Celia Hammond can provide a trap. My guess is the owners (if he has any) won't give a cr*p about your sleep if they don't care enough to be responsible in a very basic way about their pet. I've done a mini TNR for a few stray cats where I used to live and it greatly improved cat relations.
  3. Another recommendation for Lee. We had him round to do a couple of small jobs like fitting isolation valves and addressing some water hammering with our new washing machine. He was very helpful and a really nice, trustworthy person to deal with. We will be getting him back to do some more jobs in the near future after this positive experience.
  4. Prior to purchasing our house last April, I asked C & G Electrical Services to do an EICR for us (they are NICEIC registered). I was very happy with their service, they were lovely to deal with on the phone and were happy to pick up and drop off the keys from the estate agent. I got the report emailed to me that evening. I ended up needing a new Consumer Unit but I didn't use C&G as I have had the kitchen redone so just got it done with the builder's electrician who wasn't great to be honest. I will be calling C&G again to sort out some new sockets and some other minor work. Other recommendations on this thread > http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,962781
  5. If you have used a local flyer distributor and would recommend them please get in touch with me.
  6. Turned up at a neighbours house yesterday. Our cat Ellie escaped from the first floor window on Monday night (2nd July). We live on Daniels road in Nunhead, right opposite the entrance to Nunhead cemetary on Linden Grove. She's been an indoor cat the past 4 years and hasn't been outside since we moved here. She has thyroid issues so takes medicine twice per day, her health will suffer without this. Personality - 16 yrs old but doesn't look it, loves people, quiet and trusting, doesn't like to be held but loves to be stroked. She won't sit in your lap but will lie on knees and shins. Very likely to seek out a human to feed/care for her as she did when she was a stray - Celia Hammond rescued her when she became ill. Identifying traits - she can't miaow because of throat surgery so it comes out like a raspy croaky miaow. Tabby fur with cream 'eyeliner', cream around her nose and chin, white whiskers, fluffy cream fur on her belly that is a bit droopy. Microchipped and neutered. Couple of videos of her uploaded to you tube > https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbbw5FOtfeQAti15vrWuZxA If anyone can recommend a reputable leaflet distribution company I would be grateful, we are desperate to get her back 07583632213 / 07412338041
  7. You might want to try Nunhead Carpets on Evelina rd. I haven't used them myself yet but did pop in to have a look and the guy was really friendly and helpful. He has a good range of stuff and gets good reviews on google and on here.
  8. We're looking to hire someone to help us with the layout of our awkwardly shaped medium sized kitchen. We don't have the budget for a fancy bespoke kitchen and are currently looking at IKEA kitchens but going slightly insane trying to make it work. Would love to hear from someone who offers this type of service or recommendations from forum users.
  9. Its actually quite easy to make one yourself with one of these kits. http://www.duffylondon.com/products/DIY-Lampshade-Kit-C77 Its easier with 2 pairs of hands for the rolling part though. They have a you tube video showing you how to do it: Or you can watch Kirsty make one. http://www.channel4.com/4homes/design-decorate/b-qs-tips-tricks/kirstie-creates-lighting
  10. I will definitely go along as it's really great to see the unused shops on Evelina Road used for pop-ups like this. I can't believe we also have a vintage furniture store now too! Best of luck!
  11. That's awful. Did you see the colour of the cat, it might help the owners identify if it's their missing cat.
  12. Just came back from Kuki and I'm super pleased with my new hair from Shingo. I'm very picky when it comes to hairdressers as I have thick hair and its hard to find someone who can cut thick hair well. I forgot to bring the photos of Ginnifer Goodwin's haircut that I wanted but I managed to describe it and Shingo pretty much nailed it. Lovely relaxing salon, all exposed brick and vintagey furniture without the hectic atmosphere of some of the bigger salons. So pleased to have finally found a great hairdresser in London, I won't be going anywhere else.
  13. I usually get my hair cut in Shoreditch at Vision or Jones and Payne but can't really afford it anymore. Just wondering what Kuki would be like for a creative/edgy hair cut for someone in their early 30s.
  14. I don't think they scan for microchips and they are not easy to get a hold of to find out if they have found any dead cats matching your pets description. I speak from experience. The street cleaners I talked to said that if they found a dead cat they would just call for another specialised team but they weren't aware of any sort of record being kept of these animals. Its very annoying as I think the least they could do is scan the animal so its owners can be contacted via the microchip information. That is the point of having it afterall!
  15. its all here on this page. How to pay council tax You can pay online 24 hrs a day if you have a debit/credit card. I guess you can't pay at PayPoint locations as its not mentioned as being an option
