  1. You could have chosen to start a floods in Queensland or fire extinguisher roof lobber get 32 months thread but no you chose to post this drivel. No wonder people are bored.

  3. I don't really care, I doubt I would use either as Sainsbury's are good enough for me and probably the best supermarket ever. I worked for Sainsbury's in the warehouse, unloading lorries and managing the stock. They were quite nice to work for really. What's the CO-OP like? I have not tried it yet.
  4. Reading this thread makes me laugh. So what have any of you lot done then eh? Come on you heretics, let us know what you can do that warrants attacking people like Stephen Fry who was in Blackadder ffs. Cliff is shit though even if he's sold more records than all of us on here put together.
  5. Its better to have flounced than never to have flounced at all. I was considering not logging in ever again the other day because the content is a bit like the tea room noticeboard at work. Bye then money. A phrase we'll all be quoting a little bit more in 2011 no doubt.
  6. Hiya aquarius moon, I like your username. It has an air of calming wellbeing, similar to the felling I get from having a beer and a salted snack down the pub. I am in fact a sedgewick.

I agree, but its gorgous Dave. That was just an example of the "Brand" known as David Beckham he's a household name.
  8. It isn't the basis anyone could create or bestow icon status, he did not give this label to himself. A celebrity footballer living the fairytail life. There are a load of people ready to promote their heros to ridiculous highs. He's obvously had a lot of help and support via the media machine, the fact ManU turn their players into complete products has an obvious advantage through things like Gillette adds etc. I can't imagine Teves on an advert for aftershave can you? I see his Icon status (although I don't think he is qute ready for that title) as being a by product of what celebrity is today in Britain. He is a very likeable man though and does not appear to be a complete selfish git unlike say Jordan or any other host of uber famous people you could point the finger at.
  9. At the peak of his ManU/England career Becks as he is affectionately know was the best dead ball player in the world. His crossing and set piece play was almost faultless, he never had pace though but he had the right attitude and probably will go down in history as one of the greats. Not a ManU/Becks fan but you can't deny he had class.
  10. It won't be a problem for the pro's of ED but for somebody like me on 16K its going to hurt a bit because everything is becoming so much more expensive. Heating and food are going through the roof so I think the gready vat rise by the government is a further attack on the poor. As for the govt saying we're all going to have to suffer is easy to say when you're already a rich politician and the impact of such a rise will be minimal.
  11. The people are a bit too posh. The rent is high. The house prices are a joke. Its right on top of Peckham. As soon as I can move back to Kent I will. Apart from all that its OK, ish. Some of the comments on here have made me laugh, especially the one about it feeling like a holiday resort. I think its being blown out of all proportions, its SE London and I wouldn't really want my kids to grow up here if I have them tbh.

  13. I checked with the seller, they told me it had been signed for and told me where and when. Post office shut so I cant check, maybe I'm being a bit hotheaded as my faith in human nature has been tarnished over the years ;( I'll have to wait until the Rye Lane office re-opens but I'm not very confident. Do you think the post office would take a parcel that has nothing to do with them?
  14. I bought a present for my dad from ebay and the item was delivered by courier, but they delivered it to my neighbour so nothing strange about that as we all sometimes take deliveries for the people next door right? I gave the guy a knock and asked if he had taken delivery of said parcel, he said that he did but took it to the post office in Rye Lane. What I find strange about this is the fact that Sylvestre road is the obvious choice considering its only a few roads from where we live. The other thing I find strange is the parcel was delivered by courier so they would not except a parcel from a third party or am I wrong here? Seems odd, It was a Xmas present and I remember a situation where another neighbour had issues with this chap regarding a delivery in the past. I think he is a thief but I won't take it further because I don't want to start a neighbours from hell situation. Luckily the ebay seller has offered to send me another, I have to wait which means I had to buy my dad an alternative present which has put me out of pocket :( Am I wrong?
