I am a qualified primary school teacher who is offering private tuition to children aged 4-11. I can teach Maths, reading and writing in small groups or one to one. I successfully completed a Diploma in teaching students with specific learning difficulties/dyslexia. I am interested in hearing from families who would like their children to attend group tuition either in Maths or English where the cost would be lower than one to one tuition and where the children learn from their peers too. Also happy to chat to parents/carers and give direction to books or websites in relation to their child's needs. I can also give strategies for those children with dyslexia. I am studying the OCR Diploma Level 5 Teaching students with specific learning difficulties/Dyslexia. I am already a qualified primary school teacher however I am furthering my studies as I throughly enjoy teaching students with literacy difficulties. As part of the second block of the course I need to work at least 8 hours with ONE student in Key stage 2. This child needs to have literacy and numeracy difficulties and dyslexic tendencies and not be diagnosed with dyslexia. I am looking for someone who can come to my house in SE22 one day after school starting from around May 2014. Informal assessments will need to take place before this in order for me to plan the teaching (home visits can be made for this part). The family must be agreement with the third session being filmed and then sent off so that my teaching can be observed by my course tutor. They must also commit to all 8 hours. Specialist tuition for dyslexia is about ?40 per hour however I am offering these 8 lessons at ?25 per hour as I will be in training. Lessons can be continued after the initial 8 still at ?25 per hour until the end of 2014. This child needs to have quite a few literacy difficulties and/or dyslexic tendencies and not be diagnosed with dyslexia. I am looking for someone who can come to my house in SE22 on Thursdays or Fridays around 5:15-6:15pm starting from January 2014. Informal assessments will need to take place before this in order for me to plan a scheme of work and then the lesson plans (home visits can be made for this part). The family must be agreement with one session being filmed and then sent off so that my teaching can be observed. They must also commit to all 12 hours. Hello I am a local private tutor who teaches mainly primary school aged children. I teach mainly one or two to one but I was wondering if any families would be interested in their children (aged 9-11) attending fun revision classes next half term at my house. It would be small groups of no more than 5/6 and we would cover Year 6 objectives.
