  1. Thank you for the recommendation - having a quick look at the website and it looks like it could definitely work,.
  2. I'm creating a memory book about a friend who passed away a few years ago for her children. It is going to include a collection of photos from different phases of my friends life as well as some written anecdotes, stories etc to be copied and scanned in. (Then printed for the children) Looking for a website e..g Photobox that might do something like this, that is easy to use? Appreciate any leads or advice on what websites / apps are good to use.
  3. There is a camping ground in Dulwich that you could perhaps camp for a night (sorry I don't know of anyone who needs pet sitting for the night) so thinking of other cheaper options for you
  4. My teen likes to do the Escape Rooms . Southbank always good for walk down, buskers, Tate, Globe etc. You can also go up the Oxo tower if you are feeling rich, have a cocktail (or mocktail) and watch the sun set over the Thames. Old Vic has Sylvia playing if you feel like some theatre, or go and see the movie Rye lane at Peckham Plex for a good overview of our neighbourhood. Shoreditch / Brick Lane - easy to get to and lots of shopping and browsing options. I always love the flower market as well. Take the boat as well on the Thames - its a lovely way to see London as well. Greenwich a good option for something nearer - loads to do there
  5. Hi Claire - not from the forum - I've made do for now and will come back to this project at another stage!
  6. I left neighbourhood vets after total over charging of medicine (conjunctivitis in one eye for my cat came to over £100). No issue with their actual vets and the charges for that (that is transparent) , but it seems that everything after that is built in. So many little extras done all charged which add up. Many medicines were opened as they gave some drops etc to my cat, with no openness about the cost of these medicines. I googled prices of the medicines they had given me and they were hugely inflated from what I found on websites - I wrote to them expressing this (with pictures of medicines and prices) and got offered £10 of my next visit!! I was also asked why I didn't claim on insurance - I did have insurance (but had an excess) but it seems that they rely on overcharging due to insurance paying. I have not gone back after this as felt very ripped off.
  7. If you contact the BDA (British dyslexia association) they should be able to provide you with name of qualified tutors. https://www.bdadyslexia.org.uk/dyslexia/tutor-list
  8. Can anyone recommend a company or person they have used to replace their garage door? Thanks in advance
  9. My wallet was left in Peckham (Rye street) earlier this evening - I have frozen my bankcards (and there was no spending on the cards) - so someone might have handed it in to the police station (it has a drivers lisc in it) - I am online trying to find out if there is a local police office but can't seem to find it. Anyone know of a local police station?
  10. need a toilet seat replaced (have purchased the new seat) - is this something you could do?
  11. HI Maria welcome to the UK - I will keep your details and contact you for any alterations and repairs. I hope you and your son are able to settle and be happy in East Dulwich
  12. Polished (on Northcross rd) pierce with a needle if this is something that interests you - my daughter had her second piercing done there and absolutely no problems
  13. I used Hepburns (Near East Dulwich Picturehouse) who did this for me -reasonably priced https://hepburnssolicitors.com
  14. Rye cars - always use them and have never been disappointed - arrive on time and calculate the time it will take to get to the airport 02077327000
  15. I can highly recommend Nadia who has helped me plant a tree, bushes and create multiple beautiful pots for my decked area. In the last few months she has helped me transform my garden. Nadia has an immense knowledge of plants and has really helped me choose plants as well as helping me tidy up a rather overgrown back part of the garden.
