I can't give a reason as to why my neighbour thought it would be ok to leave the items in the bin. What I do know is this : The girls had been previously and had been told not to go through the bins or else the police would be called. They chose to ignore this and came back and took items belonging to my neighbours late sister who had died suddenly from a massive stroke. Therefore this is theft. The bin was hidden but because they knew where to look they went straight to it....premeditated theft. A description is relevant and helpful to warn others and to see if they have been spotted anywhere else doing the same thing which it seems they have I was only trying to warn other residents.

So, intexasatthemoment, you leave something outside, temporarily, just while you have work done indoors OR you hang washing out on the line OR have plants in your garden ...is that also silly?Is that a open invitation to someone to steal it? Either you are trying to sabotage a perfectly valid thread or goad me into an online argument. Enough said, we will leave it at that. Thank you for your contributions, helpful or otherwise.

Sigh...bags in wheelie bin tucked behind a bush. Sigh...Eastern European. Totally unacceptable whatever the circumstances AND only trying to give the heads up seeing as there have been so many thefts in the area recently.

They should have asked first before taking anything. The bags were put there temporarily by my neighbour for safekeeping whilst she was having work done. It's a private driveway so they should not have been there rummaging. My front door was open , my neighbours had been closed momentarily .

Just caught two girls, early twenties, going through my neighbours bin. When I asked her what she was doing she replied looking for shoes and clothes. I asked her if she'd asked my neighbour and called my neighbour who said she was stealing and had told her before about going through her things. Rang police. Both girls had shopping trolleys and were European.

Trying to find out if this company can enforce a parking fine on a vehicle that was supposedly parked for 16 minutes in Harlesden Car Park? The letter says they do not know who the driver of the car was so have sent the fine to the registered keeper and ask for the driver's name and address. Just want to know if they can do this and if the fine is legal as I have been told that they are unable to enforce a fine on a vehicle parked on private land. Thanks!
