  1. Hello, Is anyone out there free to help me carry boxes and dismantled furniture down stairs on morning of Friday 9th December 9.45-10.45? I’ve packed the boxes light and taken wardrobe etc to pieces so you don’t need to be especially strong just happy to carry stuff down 2 flights of stairs. I’m near Denmark Hill station. DM me if you’re available. Thanks, Jo
  2. Hi, I’m looking for someone to help me move house. I’m currently living in one room in a shared house so limited furniture but still lots of boxes. Anyone used anyone good recently? Thanks
  3. I really didn’t like TJ - the setting is noisy and intimidating it feels like going into hospital. I also had unhelpful treatment from 2 doctors. I changed to DMC Chadwick Road and I think they’re brilliant. White and blue walls, natural light, human interaction and a kind, professional approach it made me feel at ease.

  5. I went for my first massage since March today with the amazing Anna at Dulwich Therapy Rooms on Lordship Lane. If, like me, you have been holding off on getting a massage due to Covid I just want to reassure you! The building was squeaky clean and there was no one else in the waiting room. The therapist had a mask on through out, windows open and good ventilation. After the session I felt like I could swing my arms freely again, so pleased I went and I definitely don?t want this local business to disappear so if your stress levels are high and your body is suffering do book in!

  8. Hi, I am a trumpet player based in East Dulwich seeking new pupils to teach from their home. Following 5 years teaching experience at local independent schools I moved across to a role in music management at the BBC where I worked for 3 years. I am now redeveloping my freelance work and I would love to share my enthusiasm for trumpet with new pupils. I recently started teaching at Goose Green Primary School and hold a DBS check. My ensemble Bella Tromba perform educational concerts at the Royal Opera House and I have taught at all levels from beginners to scholarship entrants and music college students. This Summer I will be running a brass course for adult learners at Benslow. Please do get in touch if you'd like a trial lesson. My websites are bellatromba.com and joharrismusic.com Many thanks.
  9. Would love a second entrance and oh please, please, please another ticket machine for Oyster cards! Can I also do a shout out to the staff who are amazing there. If you use the station, you?ll know there is an incredibly helpful guy who in my opinion should be getting an OBE.
  10. Hello, We're Bella Tromba, a classical brass chamber group consisting of four women. We're going to be doing a photo shoot on Sunday, the 5th of June 2016, to update our group photos. It will consist of three different looks: - 1: Classic contemporary black and white - 2: Colourful, fun (with balloons) - 3: (The most important) Victorian: Inspired by the classic feminine beauty represented in Victorian art. We will be in need of a hairdresser to style predominantly only two of the girl's hair for all three looks, but also be there to assist the others when needed. It is a great opportunity to get creative, and to help us to get the best quality photos and most fun out of our shoot. Please, check out our website to get an idea of what we are like on: bellatromba.com
  11. I work for a charity and only staff members with a DBS check are allowed to view stored information on under 18's such as names and addresses. I'm sure they will clamp down on this if it is a glitch!!
  12. Spark 67, I like the mirror idea. Let us know how you get on with it. I'm also interested by the filtering versus overtaking on the right discussion. I generally stay on the left as that's where the cycle lanes tend to appear, for example cycling from Camberwell Green to Vauxhall. I'd value advise on where to position myself on the road when traffic is heavy in particular.
  13. Thanks . I have now reported it to the police. It was on the turning to Wood Vale.
  14. Hi, thanks for your comments. To be honest I'm not entirely sure how I was hit although I was going up a fairly steep hill so I doubt I was overtaking on the left. i remember the car turned left without indicating and I knew it was going to hit me so u guess they either overtook or were parallel with me. I often ride quite far out of the curb and hog the lane to avoid this situation or being doored but there was a lot of traffic on the road and a fair few trucks so I was on the left of the traffic rather then ahead. I mentioned the high via because I was sure that if the driver had looked they would have seen me. I think it's really important that cyclists are visible and wear helmets etc. The helmet had a dent on the back side so I think it helped my fall. All cyclists are as vulnerable as pedestrians really. I'd love to see really good cycle networks. The more cyclists on the road the more likely we are to get a safer journey. I think Boris has got that bit right anyway.
  15. I got knocked off my bike today going up Lordship Lane at about 8.10 am. Lovely, bright sunny morning and I was wearing a high vis jacket and had my back light on too. A car turned left into a side road and just knocked me off. I think i went up in the air as i was in the pavement and my bike was on the road. My work sent me to a and e but nothing was broken. I just wanted to say to car drivers; Please do stop and please do pass over your details. I was shaking so much and felt so sick I wasn't thinking about that but I know car drivers always swop details. Also stick around, initially I was so shocked I felt no pain it was about an hour after that I realised I was hurt. Not tried to ride my bike but I've lost a reflector so I'm guessing the front was hit.
  16. There used to be an excellent coffee shop, it's a shame they didn't make use of the new space and keep that going. Plus lifts not working is pretty major, especially with a hospital so near by.
  17. I think this practice has gone down hill too in terms of the management. I can't fault the nurses I've seen but I really resent having to give personal details over the phone to an untrained receptionist. The appointment system is haphazard and the general look of the surgery is shabby now.
  18. Literally just ate a gluten free cake in Blackbird Bakery. It was a horseshoe shaped thing and it was delicious..
  19. Hi, I've just bought and built a wardrobe, it's all up and ready to go but for the life of me I can't figure out how to attach the doors! The hinges are on, it all looks logical but the diagram seems to get a bit vague at this point. If anybody is able to pop over and put them on for me I'd be very happy to give them ?10, I think it will take 5 mins max if you know what you are doing. I live near the top of Dog Kennel Hill past Sainsburys. Let me know if you are able to help! Thanks so much.
  20. Peckham Rye Baptist Church collects food for the food bank. It's the big White church on the Hugh street with steps leading up to it.
  21. Excellent food and service. Thanks!
