  1. Hello! I'm looking to find people who might currently have an abundance of apples at this time of year, as we're hoping to make some juice! Any donations would be gratefully received (PM me) and i'm very happy to come by to pick or collect - of course, juice will be shared in return for any donations! Thanks, Rob
  2. Hello, We called an ambulance this morning for a cyclist who was knocked off his bike at the junction of Melbourne Grove and East Dulwich Grove. It seems quite bad. I don?t believe it was his fault, the car pulled across the road and didn?t see him. We left once the ambulance arrived, but I wanted to put this on here incase anyone knows how to find out if the poor cyclist is okay. Thanks
  3. Hi Ben, Please do keep me posted on this - I have a few Blenheim Orange apple trees on my allotment, which taste fantastic! Not a huge crop this year as the trees are still quite young, but certainly enough to share. R
  4. Hi picmicnic, you can make a request for planting new trees to Southwark Council here http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/505/trees/552/new_street_trees
  5. Very sad indeed. I think the council should pride themselves on replanting trees and creating a better environment for everyone. It happened to me when I lived on Barry Road - tree knocked down and never replaced! Maybe some gorilla planting is the solution.
  6. Eaten in and taken away, never had a problem with the service. Tasty pizza and reasonably priced. Everyone experiences moody and obnoxious staff from time to time, get over it!
  7. Hi Helena, I think I've recommended him on here a few times before, but I would recommend getting in touch with Malcolm Weir. We have used him repeatedly over a number of years to make built in cupboards, wardrobes and shelves etc. He is reliable and how workmanship lasts. His details are below: Malcolm Weir Weir Woodwork Unit 1 Stoney Lane London SE19 3BD 07745553232 www.weirwoodwork.com
  8. Hello Ellie, We have had several build in cupboards, wardrobes and shelve made by Malcolm Wier. I would certainly recommend him. He is friendly, punctual and above all else, what he makes looks good and lasts. Here is a link to his website: http://weirwoodwork.com/ Rob
  9. We had a similar problem while staying in a rental flat on Dunstans Road last summer. After a great deal of investigation I deduced there was a nest somewhere around the gutter/roof. We had bees coming in everyday at that point, my wife even woke up to find one on her hand - which then stung her!
  10. Hi yes I can recommend Anna Batchelor. She is an amazing photographer who lives in East Dulwich. She does interiors. This is her website www.annabatchelor.com
  11. I wanted to post to recommend an amazing hypnobirthing teacher who helped us with the birth of our first child. I was a bit cynical about hypnobirthing before we met Zoe but I now think that it is brilliant and wanted to post to encourage other people to do it. My wife was very worried about giving birth before we saw Zoe. Zoe helped her to feel less anxious and more relaxed. We found the sessions great in preparing us mentally for the birth of our son and they also really helped me to feel part of the process and also to see what I could do to help. Zoe is really helpful, knowledgeable and easy to get on with. It was a very positive experience. This is her website: http://www.hypnobirthingandbeyond.com/home.html

  13. Huge shame. Amazing food, great tea and coffee too. I hope they decide to relocate.
  14. We have been considering getting a cat although I am allergic to them. The reason that I posted this on here was to let people know that there seems to be a huge problem (infestation) in the area which is worse than other parts of London according to a reputable pest control company. Also I want to try to get the council to do something about the problem as they surely have a duty to.
