Hi Emma, Yes! We have recently used a brilliant woman called Tina Bareham (who i found on the EDF last year), who's made us some massive, fully-lined velvet curtains for our living room and also a curtain for my daughter's bedroom, where I asked her to customize a vintage bedspread. Tina's really efficient, incredibly speedy and done fab work both times - and charged a lot less than I'd anticipated! I thoroughly recommend her. Yes! I second the recommendation for John Marx. He gave our kitchen a fantastic cheer-up, fitting new doors to the units and drawers, sanding and oiling the wooden worktop and regrouting worn-out tiles. He does all sorts of kitchen fitting and is incredibly professional, conscientious, cheerful, tidy, punctual and goes the extra mile. Great value and excellent communication. Don't bother looking further.

Just wanted to add my endorsement of Elliot and his work. He put up three strong floating bookshelves in our children's room last week and did a fantastic job. He's very punctual, efficient, extremely hardworking,tidy and just nice to have around. One of the things I liked most was how easy he was to communicate with - discussion about the job was very clear, helpful and friendly and he dealt with all questions and anxieties brilliantly. I'm sure we'll use him again. Meanwhile, I keep looking at the shelves and smiling!

Just wondered if there's a good pub quiz in the area...we're looking for a good, lively atmosphere, a quizmaster who knows what they're doing and questions which are both difficult and fun. Any ideas??
