  1. I don't think it's grit, it's grey for one thing, and my car is completely covered, including the roof, there's no way a gritter would do this, the mystery deepens...
  2. Hmmm, sounds like a conspiracy, could the carwash people be throwing the dust around? Well, I think it's from the school. The scaffolding is down and it makes sense that this would throw up dust. Maybe they should get the kids to come and clean our cars!
  3. Hi, Has anyone else noticed that there is dust everywhere in East Dulwich. I live just off Colyton Road and my car is completely covered, I noticed that the general are is really dust. Where the hell is this coming from? The new school/the Waterworks? I have no idea but it bloomin annoying. End of rant.
  4. Hi, Just before going to bed on Saturday night at about 10.30pm, I noticed a group of three youths wearing black hoodies hanging around, looking very suspicious. I watched them for a while then noticed two entering someones back garden while the other one kept watch by the railings of the gardens. They were obviously looking around to see if they could gain entry into someone flat. They then moved further up the road. I called the police at this point, and when the police car entered the gardens they all split up, and one ran down the road, confirming that they were up to no good. To my amazement, the police car drove right past them. The police office then called me back, and asked me if I had seen where they went, which I had, as one walked very calmly down towards the Peckham rye. A few moments later a few more police cars turned up, and started circling the gardens, and they were then joined by a police dog, which was lead throughout the gardens area. I don't know if they managed to catch up with the youth I saw walking down towards the Rye, but a police car did stop down there for some time with it's flashing light on. I didn't hear anything else from the police. Anyway, be vigilant people.
  5. And I thought we might be friends...
  6. Actually, the naughty step doesn't sound so bad!
  7. No fight, was just wondering what crawled up this "dulwichmums" arse, has she no sense of humour?
  8. Dear Dulwichmum, Why do you end every sentance with a question mark? Is it because you know I'm right? Either way, I live here, you don't, so it was just my observations from my window during the past year...Keep eating the sausages darling.
  9. Hi, I actually rent a flat from Tilt. They own over 100 flats/properties in and around the gardens. They seem to have a complete monopoly in this area, pricing other individuals out of the buying market. That said, they are quite good landlords, even if many of their staff are very rude. It is pretty quite in the gardens, except in the daytime. Pretty much every day, all day, the man who maintains the main "garden" in the centre is either mowing or hedge cutting, which is VERY VERY NOISY. Also, as Tilt are constantly buying properties in the area, there are constant building works going on. They use a team of builders who work for them, who constantly drive around and around all day in vans/lorries. Due to the building work, the area is extremely dusty (don't bother cleaning windows, there's no point!). The quality of the building work is very basic, in our flat almost every fixture and fitting has now broken or needed repairing. The big bonus is the use of the garden in the centre, which you get a key for when you rent from Tilt. This is great on occasions, apart from when huge groups decide to have picnics and BBQ's with all their little brats runing around crying and leaving bits of sausage everywhere, while they stay sitting in the dark until 2am, singing and cheering after drinking way too much white wine... Anyway, I guess you take the good with the bad...
