Creative Parties for Kids in East Dulwich
pearcesa replied to lousmith's topic in Request a Tradesperson
We held our daughter's 6th birthday party at Captured On The Rye on Sunday, all the children (and both of us!) had a fantastic time. The kids created some AMAZING tee-shirts and spin paintings and the party was finished off with candy floss which the children absolutely loved - the delight on their faces was wonderful to see! Lou was a fantastic host, somehow managing to keep 17 children in check, helping them (in the background) with their creations so they didn't even notice & keeping everything on time so that it all came together perfectly at the end. We will be returning, to try his new concept of 'Science Parties' in the future! The party at ?20 a head was very reasonable, as Lou provides a Captured On The Rye (party) bag which you just pop their tee-shirts & spin paintings in! You don't even have to worry about the party bag & can avoid the dreaded 'plastic tat'! ;) -
I'll send you a PM.

Another recommendation for Steve. We contacted him as the bulb in our NEFF oven sheared off in our hands as we tried to change it! He advised me what part I needed to order directly from NEFF and then came and fitted it when it was delivered. He also gave me some very useful advice about what products to use/not use in our dishwasher, plus gave me some advice about our washing machine. I'd highly recommend him, as he is efficient, friendly and knowledgeable, plus his rates are very reasonable.

Mehmet came and did three hours gardening for us this week. He worked really hard and achieved so much in the time! We basically asked him to dig all the borders over and make the garden ready for the Spring. He's very knowledgeable and gave us lots of advice on what plants should be planted where too. Very reasonable at ?15 and will be using him again.

Recommendation wanted please for A level English tutor
pearcesa replied to Up00cycled's topic in Request a Tradesperson
You could try Anchor Tutors, they're a local tutoring agency, who have lots of tutors who specialise in a whole range of subjects. It's run by a lovely lady called Fran. Their website is: http://anchortutors.uk/. Sarah -
We went today with our 2 year old daughter for brunch. Lovely coffee, yummy cakes, brilliant space & very friendly staff. We'll definitely be going back!

The Bubbly Bees website shows 3 classes taking place on a Thursday at the Greendale hut. Anyone know if each class is for a specific age group?

Hay market Hotel did a brilliant afternoon tea and was very reasonable.

Hi Not strictly East Dulwich (sorry!!) but does anyone know if the car boot sale that used to be held every second Sunday of the month in the car park near the Lido is taking place this Sunday? We got some fab children's books at the sale last time & want to go back this Sunday, if it's on! Thanks in advance for any info. Sarah

Will you still offer eggs benedict, eggs royale and eggs florentine? We used to love having a child-free brunch at Lucas together! -
