To be very exact there are 6 kinds of asbestos: crocidolite, amosite, chrysotile, fibrous anthophyllite, fibrous actinolite and fibrous tremolite but only first three were commercialy used. The other ones can sometimes be found as contamination - like Crayola crayons contaminted with tremolite some years ago. Chrysotile (white asbestos) IS dangerous too, just less than crocidolite and amosite.

And if you don't understand - racism is a prejudice based on race/skin colour. I clearly stated that i thought he did it because he considered me being neo-nazi, not because I am white. It has nothing to do with racism.
  3. 3rd: neurosis "souls at zero" update: and 1st: rage against the machine - self titled
  4. that's not exactly true, my netbook with intel atom cpu and 2gb of ram memory is powerful enough for all typical tasks, i would rather say that main difference is display size - netbooks were designed as really mobile laptops (you cant really say that about 17in laptop), so they have display up to 10,1 in. And just because of that for elderly person I would recommend a full size laptop, and even not necessarily the newest one, it just depends on the planned usage, to use the internet you do not require intel i5 cpu and 4gb of ram, do you? just find balance between power and price.
  5. @Jeremy, when I started this thread i was upset, i moved on before i read first answers. just later i had to read posts that i am racist (because i described color of a car as black ;-) ) or that i called this guy racist (when i didn't) or that i deserved being dressed in some particular way. what's better than proving that you're not a camel ;-)
  6. dreamhost is not uk based company, so not what exactly what you asked about, but when I asked them some question they answered in couple of hours, it was really impressive, additional advantage is (i hope still is) that for 1st year you can use discount coupon up to 90 some percent!
  7. @hugenot 1. actually traditional skinheads have nothing to do with racism or far-right white supremacist, how could they be racist if this subculture emerged from mix of british mods and jamaican rude boys and if there were/are white skinheads but black ones as well? far-right groups just hijacked their style, I suggest you googling for "s.h.a.r.p", you can see what skinheads think about neo-nazis. [ UPDATE ==> google for "s.h.a.r.p. skinheads" if you don't want to delve through adverts of sharp electronics ] anyway, i am not skinhead, it's just to explain... 2. being white supremacist has nothing to do with style, it's not about any fashion, it's about having shit instead brain 3. if you think that clothes can justify abusive/aggresive behaviour towards person wearing them, let me know, please, what are you wearing today, I am sure that i can find some kind of reason to dislike you and i understand that being as good as your word you will understand and think that's allright and normal?
  8. @Take Note I am afraid none knows answer to your question and actually my dog is not a poodle, not to mention imaginary poodle...

  11. I don't think I am able to give you even more details @Frankito...
  12. @ Frankito: just asking so I'll answer, just wanted to be descriptive, few second last action, you do not know the person, how many things can you notice? and when you address thread/message to someone you want to be as much accurate as you can. That's why you have details I noticed with time and place, simple. If I noticed plate number title would be different, as reg number is much more precise, but I didn't. Yes, he didn't say any word, yes, what I felt is based on my observations only, but that's me who was there. And of course I may be wrong, i don't think so, but I may be, I am not a god.
  13. as far as I noticed I didn't write it was racist, what I wrote was I thought he judged me being racist, as for me there's a difference. @l.scott: or maybe I can notice if there's a bin close to me and maybe I can notice when someone slowing his car and throwing sth towards me and maybe I can recognize facial expression? i think i stated reasons why I posted this quite clearly, but, yeah, thanks, it was waste of time, tomorrow I would discover here that I am not only racist gay (if I guess reference to old compton street correctly) but also a masonic jew (i am already a cyclist)
  14. @Frankito, yes, I am sure it was done intentionally... in my personal opinion I was judged basing on my clothes: boots, bomber jacket, short hair - I must be an EDL member, right? I do not treat this as a huge problem, it didn't poison my whole day, it was just upsetting. Especially as about twelve years ago, being still in Poland I was (literally) attacked by a bunch of neo-nazi boneheads just because having long dreadlocks, and generally punk outlook I didn't suit their imagination of a True Pole, now, when I am roughly still the same guy just I look different someone throws litter at me considering me one of these guys - "is it ironic?"
  15. To black guy driving black car who threw plastic bottle on me when I was walking my dog towards Dawson Heights: Being white, having short haircut and (occasionally) wearing bomber jacket does NOT making me racist or neo-nazi. You have full right to see the world in whatever way you want but if you take any action basing on your observations and stereotypes you are fully responsible for it. Attacking someone on a street, even if only with empty plastic bottle, congratulations, in my opinion makes you an asshole. I personally doubt you will have courage to post your apologies here, what I hope is someone knows you and will pass my message.
  16. uff... what a relief - when i read changed thread title i thought you gave her away ;-)

  18. @MarmoraMan completely agree. locked gates don't stop anyone if they want to get in but as there aren't anyone inside they got easy job to do vandalism - no witnesses at all...
  19. i like pablogrande solution - i even seen this in action, but just in movie ;-) leaving bags on bins will not work in my opinion - who wants to clean up, takes care and always have bags in pockets...
  20. kamila, you know, you really gor tallent for finding the lost/abandoned dogs. hope we meet you on weeekend at rye and moeera can meet her ;)
  21. jah, so close to my home... i was walking my dog up to the hill before four but i only saw kids coming back from goodrich school and some guys doing refurbishment works at one of dunstans road houses, nothing suspicious EDIT - i need to correct myself, dunno why i thought it was between goodrich and underhill... if you are between goodrich and upland - so just next to dawson hill - the only thing, that maybe wasn't especially unusual, but might be helpful - there were two guys (in their twenties to thirties) sitting in the car parked near s david's mansion, just behind this silver sport car with broken/damaged rear spoiler/wing. i noticed them as they're laughing when i was passing by. however i couldn't recognised them nor even say what was the make of the car. I noticed only that guy in driver's seat was black, that's all. but if the're strangers or live localally - i got no clue, i live here to short to recognise people, except these few i met in the park...
  22. nanotechnology in dogs dry food?
