  1. I've always been really happy with Dulwich Test and Service Centre,Unit 14, 4 Tyrrell Road (formerly Hindmans rd). Honest and reasonable and their work has never failed.
  2. My husband posted a positive comment at the time we got the windows done. Have you never had a problem with your phone and lost your contacts? Sometimes you need to search for a number in the place where you originally got it from in the first place! As i am at my computer during the day, it was easier to do a quick search than hunt through my files to find the paperwork. I'm not trying to discredit anything anyone else has said or be inflammatory, i am simply reporting my experience. You made your point loud and clear several times, and left three posts asking for more comments! I am entitled to express mine without eliciting such a petty response which seems to serve no purpose other than trying to belittle me. There is reason "I wouldn't usually comment on these sort of threads on the forum" and i think this thread illustrates it perfectly. If there weren't so many posters waiting to for an opportunity to be sarcastic and negative, then normal honest people without some kind of hidden agenda wouldn't be so hesitant to leave a comment and it would be easier to find useful information on the forum.
  3. I wouldn't usually comment on these sort of threads on the forum, but i was just searching for Jason/Duwlich Windows number and I was surprised to read all the comments so i thought i should provide my honest feedback. Jason / Dulwich Windows actually replaced all of the windows (except one) in our house in summer 2012, and i had a good experience. The price was the best out of the 3-4 companies we looked at, and i am very happy with the quality of the Rehau windows and the quality of the fit. From memory we paid for the actual windows first after seeing the paperwork, and the remainder on completion of the job. There was a small delay in the date promised for the fit, which was explained as the fitter that Jason normally used was ill. However the tradesman who did fit the windows was very good, a nice guy and was respectful of our house, keeping everything as clean as you can when replacing windows, tidying up his tools and hoovering at the end of each day. He was flexible in planning the work on each room to suit us as there are 4 adults in the house. We have since had two separate builders/tradesmen in the house doing jobs, who have commented on the quality of the windows and the fit, and the appearance. I didn't get the bathroom window done at the time and i wish i had, i have decided it needs replacing now and i have just phoned Jason. Feel free to look at my previous posts you will see i am a genuine forum user.
  4. Hello, I am looking to purchase some victorian-style iron railings and a gate for the front of my house. Does anyone have a recommendation for where to source them? I will consider new or recylcled. Thanks Monica
  5. Can only echo this. Russell has now done a couple of jobs for our house on lordship lane and did a fantastic job both times around. On both occasions has done extra bits for nothing when it was not asked of him and this is much appreciated. His rates have always been competitive as well. He can be booked up a bit in advance but that seems like it is because he has a really good reputation on the forum - we took the view that if you trust someone from previous experience to produce good workmanship then we don't mind waiting a little longer. Monica
