  1. I have a very hardworking cleaner who will have some space soon as we are moving away. Very trustworthy, cleans really well and feels like part of the family to be honest! PM me if you want her number.
  2. Love it too- they need bigger premises though as soon there'll be no space it's so popular!
  3. Can anyone recommend a place to get proper Shellac nails done? Needs to be very clean and as it is my pampering time away from the baby, a little bit of luxury wouldn't go amiss ! What is a reasonable price these days for a good technician? Thanks
  4. Excellent cafe- really friendly staff and generously-sized sandwiches for lunch.
  5. Could you PM me your price list as soon as you can please
  6. Hmm I'm thinking maybe a childminder would be best to start with as the baby would be with the same person exclusively every day ( with other children of course ) If you call the council for a list is it just a list of names and numbers and then you verify against the Ofsted website?
  7. Has anyone tried both? Our first child is due in October and we will need full time childcare but unfortunately our salaries won't stretch to a nanny! I'm wondering if we've missed the boat with getting on the waiting list for a decent nursery but then again when I looked on childcare.co.uk, there were hardly any reviewed childminders from ED on there either so I'm guessing a lot of those are also full! We will need the childcare from Aug 2014 which seems like ages away but apparently not if the waiting list stories are anything to go by!
  8. Really like it- has a nice atmosphere, nice and small so you recognise all the staff, evening appts available. I see Dr Cliffe as well- if you specifically want to see her, there is sometimes a bit of a wait as she is very popular!
  9. Those who have used EASY- what sort of activity did you have for the A when your baby was very young? Did you not have issues with baby falling asleep at the breast straight after feeding?
  10. I'd like to join too please-only just seen this thread though so missed earlier meet ups. Never even occurred to me to search for a Autumn babies thread on EDF although I have seen similar on Mumsnet etc. Am due on 22 October and would love to come to any future meet-ups...

  12. I had my phone pickpocketed from my bag whilst in Sainsburys last year- went to police stn but obviously never got it back.
  13. With all the horse meat scandal I thought I would make more of an effort to use local butchers. I usually go to WR for specific things I know I like from there, like braising steak, sauasages and rump steak but still end up getting other things from supermarkets. Also I find they are not so good for cheaper cuts e.g. of lamb- have been advised to use expensive lamb steaks for a slow cooked curry for example so ended up getting it from supermarket. I haven't tried Sparkes as concerned about the cost I suppose as no prices, will have to try and ask. Went to Flock and Herd but the time I went they didn't seem to have much in. Anyone tried Billings? The Butchery? I know there are some threads about WR already but they are a bit old now. Has anyone tried several of the options and can make a comparison?
