I have 3 at the moment (I know, officially a witch). There was a stray big black Tom which started doing the same as this suspected Bengal. I would come home sometimes and if I walked into a room where he was camping out he would go loopy. I once walked into my bedroom one night and closed the door, only to find that the cat had been behind the bed. I was pretty much pinned against the back wall as he went beserk, racing up the walls and screeching at me if I tried to go back to the door to let him out. Yes he was scared, but so was I and I still have the scars from where he scratched me to prove it.

Crystal Palace Life forum is a better bet - it covers Penge too http://crystalpalacelife.com/index.php/kunena/index
  5. I have a Nexus 10 and a Sony Bravia smart tv. I don't download films from the Nexus to the tv, I just connect the Nexus to the TV using an HDMI cable - the type with a normal sized HDMI end for the tv and a micro HDMI end for the Nexus. After making sure your tv is set at the correct port (that the HDMI cable is connected to) you then play the movie on the Nexus and it appears simultaneously on your tv.
  6. Happening a fair bit in Crystal Palace too. Would never open my door to a stranger at night TBH.
  7. I love watching squirrels and think they are pretty quite - from a distance - but have fought a long battle with squirrels in the loft. Blocking the entry/exit points doesn't work as the little critters just chew another hole in the soffats and I have ended up with a patchwork of expensive repairs over the last 2 years or so. I bought all manner of sonic anti-squirrel devices - all en expensive waste of money. Eventually I had to get the council vermin guys in but, even though they charge roughly a hundred quid - they just put poison down but do come back for a follow up visit. After they had carried out the treatment the squirrels were no longer present and the holes they had made sealed up. few months down the line, the little bastards came back again :( I resorted to putting shop bought rat poison up there and that seems to have done the trick. For now..... The trouble with them being in a loft is that they make one unholy mess and can be pretty noisy, plus they apparently have a propensity to chew through cables which might present a fire risk.

Ha! No. I was fresh up from Dorset. with a West Country burr to match :)

It was the cheapest place to rent in those days that we could find (being student nurses) and very much a down at heel but pretty much ok part of SE London. Eventually bought a flat 27 years ago in Crystal Palace as it was cheap as chips. Penge/Anerley are good buys at the moment but people need to get in quick as gastropub applications are already in here and there...
  10. How bizarre! Mine has recently gone from an American woman to an English woman with a West Country burr...
  11. Maybe have a think about Bridport in Dorset too - a mile from West Bay and the Jurrasic Coast, just over half an hour from Exeter, 15 minutes from Dorchester (county town) and 25 minutes from Weymouth. I have spent a lot of time in Bridport (my partner lives there) and it is a truly special place - a lovely market town (2 markets a week) with a lot going on music/arts/food wise. It is a vibrant place to live with plenty of good pubs/bars and restaurants. It also has a strong tradition with live music locally and it's own 1920's cinema, the Electric Palace. Very highly recommended so much so that I am moving there myself in Sept after 33 years in London. You get a lot of house for your money there too compared to ED. It has an amazing Hat Festival in Sept too. A few links about Bridport by local artists etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWR976GRCcQ
  12. I have a Nexus 10. What email service is she using? And is she using an email service in a browser or within an app?

Bromley police are mentioned and other media mentions Crystal Palace Park Rd (Bromley) as opposed to CPR.
