  1. Hey guys, That would have been me taking the lessons on Whatley Road. If anyone is interested in free cycle training for yourselves or your children, please feel free to call me on; 07787117088 Many thanks, Gerry.
  2. We went to Oxford at the weekend and to avoid all London (Olympic) Traffic we headed out to the M25 at Croydon then straight round to the M40... It was totally traffic free and got us to Oxford in good time.
  3. Hi all, my name is Gerry (posting via my girlfriends login). I am a cycling instructor living in East Dulwich and am working with Southwark Council to provide free cycling lessons to all residents, students and people who work in the borough. I cater for all ages and abilities. This ranges from teaching you to ride for the first time, right through to daily commuters wanting some additional safety tips. I am fully qualified to the national standards, CRB checked and insured. If you are interested in lessons for you or the family please direct any enquiries to; 07787 117 088 [email protected] Many thanks, Gerry.
  4. Also use a chunky motor bike chain lock, you can just leave that in place in the front garden, it will be very heavy for anyone wanting to mess with it and they make more noise when moved about so would draw more attention. Good luck!
  5. We live a bit further up on Pellatt road, 5min walk to NCR. Lovely & quiet, no parking issues and we can walk to the Market within a few minutes. Best of both worlds... If you're worried about the pub/Market noise then maybe have a wonder around and see what you make of some other lovely roads close by. Good luck with the search. :)
  6. I fully agree with Glutenberg... Surma is delicious if you're looking for a good 'british' take on Indian, they don't try to be anything too fancy. And echo the Mirash (if that's what it's called) on grove vale, not very nice at all. Enjoy! :)
  7. Hi Jelly83, I moved to Pellatt Road in June last year and we love it. It's A lovely quiet road, hardly any through traffic... Our neighbours our great, the houses are nice looking. It's a great location as it's close enough to LL and Northcross Rd but also quite close to Dulwich library and Dulwich park which is great for a stroll/run. The Mag pub and Jacks cafe are an added bonus... And popping round to collect post form the sorting office (already mentioned) is very handy! Best road in E.D, Good luck with the move! Anna.
  8. Does anyone know what's happening on lordship lane, up past the Police station? Road closed, x2 fire engines, ambulances etc. Hoping there hasn't been any fatalities!?
  9. I was just about to ask the same thing, Cyrena Road between Whateley and Silvester is closed off with some 'youths' being detained...
  10. Thanks all, looking forward to trying ALL these places... It looks like franklins is a dead cert! :)
  11. Hi all, I'm new to the area and need to take the visiting family out for lunch on Sunday, any recommendations greatly appreciated. Ta, :)
  12. Hi all, I'm new to ED and have the folks visiting on Sunday for a fathers day lunch... Can anyone recommend a good restaurant for lunchtime seating? Dad's a veggie so somewhere that caters for the herbivores would be ideal, Thank you! :)
  13. BundaberG that's terrible, glad you're all Ok. Where did this happen?
  14. Oh that's brilliant news, I found them really good too. Happy house hunting and hoping the completion goes ahead smoothly. :)
  15. This is ridiculous, a young lady as been mugged amd her mother would like to warn others to take care and in response is a barrage of nonsense about who's area is more rough?? Insensitive or what!
