  1. Well, thanks for looking. Both of us writing for the site at the moment have two kids each. If we get enough parents working on this it... just... might... work! Feel free to submit articles. I'll post them up as long as they're of a decent quality. :)
  2. Hi there, I'm not much of a gamer these days. Having kids seems to have scuppered that, but I do run a nerdy website http://www.theunheardnerd.com and I'm looking for someone who's up to date with what's going on in the gaming world to write regular round-ups. What's coming soon, the odd preview or thoughts on existing games as well as revisiting classics. These could be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Whatever suits really. There is NO pay for this, it would purely be for the love of it and I'd try to throw in the occasional benefit. If you're vaguely interestest, please email me at theunheardnerd[@]gmail[dot]com The site is still in it's first year but receives a decent amount of hits a day/month with that figure increasing steadily. I cover the music and nerd culture side of the site and I have a movie contributor already. I need to fill the gaming and comics positions to really maximise the content available for readers. Thanks for reading.
  3. We, the carnivores of East Dulwich have your saddle. We're holding it in a confined space on a battery farm and are force feeding it corn. If you want to see it again you must sit in the middle of Goose Green roundabout on Saturday at noon and eat Fois Gras.
  4. Thanks for all the replies in this thread and PMs too (which, I'm sorry, I haven't had the chance to reply to). Since making this original post I too have had another incident similar to one previously posted. My collegue watched the postman put the 'sorry we missed you' card into the letterbox of an open door at 12:30pm having made no attempt to deliver the parcel. The time written on the card was 2pm. I have made the trip up to the sorting office twice now to see if the parcel is there. It's been lost. I've made numerous complaints but nothing has been done. I also saw the postman over christmas on Lordship lane taking a wedge of his letters and dropping them back into the letterbox of the post office.
  5. Thanks. I do have online banking with statements avaiable to view and the missing statements are not my primary cause for concern. I'm just trying to ascertain whether there is a widespread problem with post or if I have a problem specifically.
  6. I know the post has been terrible of late due to the postal strikes but putting that issue aside I would be interested to hear if anyone can point out specific instances where they have had post go missing or simply that they suspect post is not making it through their letterbox. I'm especially interested to hear from people and businesses on Lordship Lane. The reason I ask is that I believe I have had items of post go missing on a regular basis (Bank statements being one specific item that I am aware of amongst others). As a result I've not received certain information and it's ended up potentially costing me quite a considerable sum of money. I have spoken to the manager at the sorting office on Silvester Road who offered to moniter my post for a period of a week (worth it?) and would then issue me with the results. Well, that just didn't happen. Also, how often do you receive other people's mail and do you forward it on or just bin it? I'd appreciate genine responses only and if possible stay on topic. Your input is gratefully received in advance.

  8. I'm considering attaching spikes to the wheels of my buggies. Chariot style.
  9. I used to live in Rodwell Road. We never had street parties in my day. :(
  10. But if you ban buggies what am I going to use to bulldoze a path through the crowds of able bodied people? I don't always take the little one out. Sometimes it's just a bag of spuds in there.

  12. Could you take pictures of any gammy legs you come across please? I need to prove that there is an abnormally high percentage of people in ED with gammy legs. Thanks.
  13. *All the young dudes. Carry the news..* That's the only one I know actually.
  14. Perhaps in honour of the 'dog fouler' incident I may call my one man band 'Trainwreck'.
