  1. Another recommendation for Richard (07984146615). He's just decorated our hallway/stairs. Good price, reliable, extremely tidy and a great job. Would definitely use again.
  2. Just wanted to add another recommendation for John. We used him last year for a couple of bedrooms and had him back this year to plaster our hallway/stairs. Reliable, tidy, reasonably priced and we're very happy with the job he's done. Highly recommended.
  3. Happy to report Hector is home safe and sound. Thank you to all the lovely people we spoke to in the area. Our ginger cat Hector has gone missing in the Dewar St, Fenwick Rd, Kinsale Rd, Amott Rd area. He is usually out and about in the gardens between Fenwick and Kinsale but managed to get out of the front of our neighbours house this evening after getting spooked by an estate agent (!). He could be anywhere in the area and is likely to be very scared and lost. Please please keep and eye out for him and check any cat-hiding spots. Kate 07944078469 Luke 07712448943 Thank you!
  4. What does Gizmo look like? Would be good to post a picture if possible. Fingers crossed he turns up at home soon. x
  5. Bit of a long shot but could it be this chap? http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?31,1616809,1632835#msg-1632835
  6. Job in a pub is a great way to meet people, make friends and build confidence. I'm still mates with people I met working in a pub twenty years ago.
  7. I'm very sorry to hear Cosmo is still missing. I know what a horrid feeling it is. Have you tried putting some of his dirty litter, or some of your dirty (as smelly as possible!) clothes outside? We did this when one of our boys went missing last year and he came back a few hours later. Admittedly he'd only been gone a few days and it might have been a coincidence but if Cosmo has been locked in somewhere over Xmas and is a bit disoriented, it might help him find his way home. Fingers crossed he's back very soon - and don't give up, there have been cats on this forum returning home after months! KX
  8. I've shared the Doglost link on Facebook but it might be worth starting a Facebook page for her, if you haven't already. I quite often see people reunited with their dogs this way... Fingers crossed she's back home soon.
  9. Has Charlie turned up? There's a post about a ginger and white cat seen on Upland Rd today...

    Rye Lane

"But, the fact remains, just a quick general search of Rye Lane did not return a single business ranking 4 or 5. Try it yourself. Says it all as far as I'm concerned. " Eh? There are loads of businesses on Rye Lane that score 4 or 5... http://www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk/search.php?name=&address=rye+lane+&postcode=se15&distance=&search.x=48&search.y=18&gbt_id=0&award_score=&award_range=gt
  11. Hi Sarah, there are some fantastic SEN schools in London, including some autism-specific schools, and some mainstream schools with excellent SEN provision. But services and support do vary hugely. Does Amy have a Statement of Special Educational Needs?
  12. Yep, we're just round the corner - spoke to Thames Water and they're investigating. Whatever that means. They seem to think water will be back on by 5am...
  13. We've been wondering about this place too. I don't think there's a 'for sale' sign up. It looks like there's a caretaker keeping an eye on the place (the odd light on occasionally) but other than that it looks pretty deserted. The grass at the front hasn't been cut back in an age...

Think all the volunteers and others who have worked on it should feel extremely proud, and anyone who doesn't watch on Friday will be missing out on something pretty special.
  15. I've been a coeliac all my life and I've never come across a pork pie. But... good news... it looks like you could order online: http://www.glutenfree-direct.co.uk/frozen/pies-and-pastries/feel-free-freedom-pork-pie or http://www.foodamentalists.co.uk/gluten-free-pork-pie/
  16. Does anyone know if the Rye is going to re-open any time soon? The current refurb seems to have been going on for an age...
  17. I love it when he's on my train! Don't think it's anything to do with Chldren in Need though. Have come across him a few times over the last few months. Makes my day every time...
