Chadwick Rd, about 22:40 05/06, had a very friendly man knock on my door saying he was a new neighbour of mine, so nice to meet me etc. He was about to dive into his story about how he had parked his car somewhere and needed some money to get it out of the garage, but I stopped him short because I recognised him as having come to door with the same story around Christmas 2016. I really remembered the incident in 2016 and told him so, he had given a different house number that time, and it was a large number and I didn't think my street numbers went up that high. At first he said but how could that be me, I'm your new neighbour, but then sheepishly walked off. Tried to phone 101 non-emergency police, but after 30mins of ringing I gave up and went to bed. Then get all philosophical about how trust and help between neighbours is so important, and was angry that this guy was degrading that trust.

We got married at The Asylum and had our reception at The Rye pub. The staff were amazing, and Charlie the manager was fantastic. We hired the whole place, had a fancy BBQ buffet for food (which was what we wanted, but they have done sit down meals for weddings before), and they organised a late license, which was important to us because our ceremony wasn't until 4pm. Highly recommended!

Yes it probably does serve a purpose (and yes there has been some damp) but we intend to get a more update dehumidifier to replace this one. Good idea about the tissue.

We have what appears to be ancient dehumidifier built into the hallway of our basement flat, that we want to remove. There is a small device that when turned on sounds like an extractor fan, and then behind it the ceiling is boxed in until you reach the front door. I'm just wondering if anyone has encountered anything similar to this? I'm not quite sure who I should ask to come in and remove it (an electrician?). It's still live (I can turn it on) but then what about all the pipes that appear to be leading out of it? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm just a bit perplexed and would appreciate any thoughts! Ideally I'd like to get this out of my life this weekend.

I'd be really interested in clay plant pots, if they are near enough to pick up by foot that is :)

Hi, we are thinking of doing the same, did you have any luck? The prices for ready made garden offices (with insulation and electrics) are so high for what seems to be a relatively small space! Did you get someone in to build one or go for a ready made?
