  1. I've said before, I kind of feel the same, but I don't think I've given Skyrim enough time to really draw me in. Thing is, Oblivion had that wow factor, when you saw just how big it was, and how great the world looked. Skyrim has improved on that, but you expect it, so it doesn't bowl you over like Oblivion did. Dragons are always a point scorer though. I did pretty much everything in Oblivion, and some DLC, but haven't even started the shimmering isles, so could even still go back to that one day...
  2. Sounds good, as I'd really noticed the text on games looking really blurred on my old TV, and I was starting to wonder if my sight had gotten worse, but normal TV subtitles not a problem.
  3. Talking of the map, it put me off a bit, I found it quite hard to read, especially on my old telly. Oblivion map looked much clearer. Hopefully when I get round to trying it on the new HDTV it will be easier. This probably isn't a problem for anyone with normal eyesight.
  4. This should do very well. Good for them.

Oooo, just followed AC's link and seen that netmums is barred at work as "online community". Hope they don't sniff out the EDF!

  8. Well there are the GTA and Max Payne titles. There's good old World of goo. I quite enjoyed a game called "little crane" where you drive a... little crane. You have to do things like pick up a basketball and drop it through the hoop. Fills a few minutes. There is a good but I think quite big game called "Bard's Tale" which is quite funny, but I've not gotten in too deep yet. IOS probably still superior for games at the moment.
  9. GTA fine. Max Payne can be a little annoying when aiming for something then lifting your finger from the screen which shifts your aim off of your target. Basically not great for very fine control, but had no probs at all with GTA3 on Android (galaxy s3) or vice city on ipod touch.
  10. I'm playing the original Max Payne for the first time (on ios). Problem is, you can only play on normal mode first time, which was ridiculously easy. Now on hard mode I am dying A LOT!

People don't think of stuff like that as crime, whereas they'd probably pause to think before mugging someone.
  12. Robert Goddard's books are a good read with good stories and plenty of twists. Linwood Barclay, who I think is Canadian rather than American) has written some good page turners in recent years.

Someone on the BBC website had tweeted something along the lines of "Arsenal stengthen, whilst giving Real the money to get Bale and weaken Spurs. Wenger is a genius" Made me laugh.
  14. Wonder whether they'll get much, if any, play today... Draw looking likely the longer it rains.
  15. Bravo. Gave that away too easily with the second clue.
  16. Yeah I signed up yesterday, and predicted a correct outcome for last night. Does the site send email reminders each week? If not I imagine I'll forget to do it quite often.
  17. Cool, I'm now in the mini leage, sitting at the foot of the table with 1 point. Damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. His alter ego would have fit in royally in Eden.
  19. Nope.

Just goes to show that putting no thought in to it and doing it last minute is the way of champions.
  23. Okay, this character is male. That is your clue.
  24. Hurrah!!! I only got it from the last clue. Give me an hour or so to tey and think of one. I'm rubbish at these things.
