Gutted to hear these rumours about The Rose. I've been turned away for that reason too. I'm sure it happens everywhere, and it's good that they shut the pool and clean it before letting anyone swim again. I suspect in days gone by it just would have been fished out. You won't be drinking poo as you swim, don't worry! I do think FH Pools should put a lower age restriction on the big pool though. No chilren under 4 perhaps. I'm sure there would be people who moaned about that, but the small pool is plenty big enough for little kids, and the large pool shouldn't be closed due to toileting accidents.
