  1. Premiership football costs a fortune. Go and spend the money watching in the pub.

    Breaking Bad

Very excited. I'm ratty, I don't think there was ever a lull.
  3. I personally love watching the bowlers in Cricket, just as I like watching the pitchers in baseball (not that I watch a lot of baseball, but Charlie Sheen was cool as the Wild Thing in Major League).
  4. Exactly. I've loved seeing every second of my girls growing and developing. But little kids are hard work, and I don't want to go back to step 1. I am a man though so maybe not the same (although we love our kids just as much as you women).

So if Fenerbah?e are kicked out, do Arsenal get a pass?
  6. But more babies will also grow up. (I know you know this) I've never understood why anyone would bring another life in the world just to have a cuddly baby for a few months. I've had this discussion with the wife! ;-)
  7. My wife feels this way about our girls. Personally I absolutely adore them, but can't wait for them to get more independent.

Fabregas is staying at Barca. Or so he says anyway.
  9. If you're just talking a bit of wee, I'd just bury it in a little hole in the sand. A poo, I'd take some wipes and nappy bags and hope there's a bin.

  12. I just discovered too many naughty things aged around 14 to care much for school. Still, got it out of my system early enough to laugh at all the people who were off their tits at uni, having had no life experience in their teens ;-) But year, 14 - 16 much better ages than 11 to be judging true potential.

Can't see Rooney going abroad at all, but the Ronaldo thing COULD be a possibility if Bale goes. Saurez to United. Could you imagine. Him and Evra best mates hugging after each goal. I almost want it to happen just for the panto of it all.
  14. I'm just not convinced that we really know who the top 1% are at age 11. I was a high performer at primary and had I lived where ny cousins live I'd ha e probably gone grammar. But I don't believe that woykd have changed the fact that as a teenager school was pretty low on my list of priorities.
  15. And I'm not in a covers band anymore because it was making me want to cut my throat open with a guitar string. Miss the money though!
  16. Sense of humour failure today!
  17. Ganapatti used to have a small garden which was nice. Rhey probably still do but Ive not been for yonks so don't want to promise. I think folk music should be banned in pubs, that seriously effects others around it.
  18. Thanks for proving my point. 2 young girls. If we stay where we are they're both kikely to go to Sydenham.

I'm no Rooney fan, but I sort of have more sympathy with his situation. He's done it all with United, and wants to do something else. I get that. I also get that Suarez wants to play at the very highest level of club football, it's just the way he's conducted himself which stinks, plus he signed a new deal a year ago.
  20. But I do understand that it is hard to think about the society / community you live in and how to improve it when your number one priority is your child. You (and by "you" I'm not talking about anyone specific) will always want the best for your kids, and when faced with a choice of sending them to a top school because you can, or sending them local and putting some time and effort in to making the local school better for every kid, I get why people would choose the former. I just find it sad (in the boo hoo sense of the word).
  21. And earlier I said Southwark or surrounding boroughs. I went to school in a Lewisham secondary. I don't think social mobility is a bad thing, but in the case of schooling those famikies that can afford it go to the "best" schools, and thise that can't go to the state schools which struggle to improve because people don't get behind them.
  22. No, my point is that some parents think they xan buy top grades for their kids, when actually their kids just aren't made that way.

Sooo, at least Saurez has at least had the balls to say he wants away from Liverpool. I wonder whether Madrid might come in if they don't get Bale... Just can't see him going to Arsenal, and after that stupid bid they put in, I hope they don't get him. (I know a lot of the fans don't want him, but the club clearly seem to)
